I HAVE POST, MY SCHOOL, MY

RESPONSIBILITY

A. INTRODUCTION

Benigno S. Aquino National High School (BSANHS) has long been a

cornerstone of education in our community, shaping the lives of countless
students. As an institution, it aims to provide quality education and foster an
environment conducive to learning and personal growth. Despite its
commendable efforts and achievements, BSANHS faces several challenges
that need addressing to ensure it can fulfill its mission effectively

One of the most pressing issues at Benigno S. Aquino National High

School is the inadequacy of classroom facilities. The school grapples with
overcrowded classrooms, which significantly hampers the learning
experience. With an increasing number of students each year, the capacity of
existing classrooms is stretched to its limits, resulting in cramped spaces
where students struggle to focus and teachers find it difficult to manage the
class effectively.

Additionally, many classrooms lack basic amenities essential for a

conducive learning environment. There is a shortage of desks and chairs,
forcing some students to share or use makeshift seating arrangements. This
not only disrupts the learning process but also poses physical discomfort.
Furthermore, inadequate ventilation and lighting in some classrooms create
an uncomfortable atmosphere, adversely affecting students’ concentration
and overall well-being.

Another significant problem is the lack of technological resources. In

today’s digital age, access to modern technology is crucial for enhancing the
learning experience and preparing students for future challenges.
Unfortunately, BANHS is lagging in this aspect. The school has limited
computers, outdated software, and insufficient internet access, making it
challenging for students to engage in digital learning and research activities.
Moreover, the school’s infrastructure requires urgent attention. Many
buildings are in a state of disrepair, with leaking roofs, cracked walls, and
outdated electrical systems. These issues not only pose safety hazards but
also create a distracting environment that detracts from the learning
experience. Addressing these infrastructure problems is vital to ensure a safe
and conducive learning environment for both students and teachers.

Along with the issues and problems that have already been mentioned,
the school is also struggling to enforce the proper dress code, such as
wearing the school ID. Some of the female students wear short skirts, over-
revealing clothes, hair color, etc., and a few of the male students have
piercings, tattoos, and don’t have a proper haircut. In view of the fact that
the school has many students, most of them are stubborn, that’s why it is
difficult to enforce the dress code.

For the reason that the school is huge and has many students, the
school guards are no longer able to properly check the bags of the students
to prevent weapons and substances such as drugs, etc. from entering the
school.

C. Problems

1. In our School there is a lot of Problem, some of these is a lack of books,

chairs, rooms, and also lack of teacher, but in this topic we need to focus
to the problem that can affect the learners and what is the best solution
we can apply.

2. School Canteen If students aren’t using the canteen, this means less line
ups – and this can only be a good thing, surely? Unfortunately, school
canteen usage is one of the biggest issues faced by canteen managers.
Parents give cash to their children to spend during recess and lunch but,
unbeknownst to the parents, this money may go towards other things,
such as the latest gadget. It becomes even more of an issue when this
cash disappears altogether – perhaps it was dropped on the way to
school, or accidentally taken by another child. The bottom line is that the
child is unable to access the canteen, and therefore has to go without
lunch for the day.

3. One of the most significant problems in schools is the issue of bullying.

Bullying can have serious consequences on students’ mental health,
academic performance, and overall well-being. It creates a negative and
unsafe environment that can lead to long-term effects on both the victims
and the perpetrators.

4. The health issue of handling chemicals in the Science Laboratory, after

and before experiments.

D. Observation

The first thing that I observe in our campus is the good service and
rules that the School Administration regulate. The School guard are always
smiling that motivated us, students. Even the students are friendly and
respectful to their teachers because of the reflection of the school good
management.

It also amaze me, while I observe in the science lab, that even the
equipment and material are lacking, still, teachers can teach in a way that the
students can comprehend. While in computer lab, where everything is
delicate and still lacking because of financial problem of the school, that’s
why I understand that everything is not perfect. I understand and still like the
way they teach even when some computer are lagging or having an errors.
In the faculty department even when the room can not fit everyone and
everything that needed yet teacher can do those papers and forms with the
smile on their faces just like in the guidance office which also added the
kindness of the counselor.

Did I already told you that the campus is wide and can comprehend
10,000 student? Correct me please, if I’m wrong. In that, everyone can
encounter and connect with a lot of people.

E. Solutions

1. The number one is ICT .. main themes for the possible solutions to the
challenges faced were: Providing more ICT resources constructing well-
furnished ICT labs; Proper maintenance of the available ICT resources;
Reduction of teachers’ workload; Training the teachers on integration of ICT
in teaching; Having power backups in case of power failure; Providing
stronger Computer so that the learners and also the teachers can easily teach
those student who willing to learn in this subject.

2. An online cashless canteen system can help. Parents can order their child’s
lunch through an easy to use app, and track their orders online. This ensures
that the money is going where it’s intended, and that the child is using the
canteen. This system is also great for children that may be entitled to free
meals from the school. With a cashless system, it’s impossible to tell who’s
receiving free meals, minimizing the stigma around this issue.

3. Schools need to address bullying effectively through prevention programs,

intervention strategies, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity to
ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all student.

4. Science Laboratory Never eat, drink, chew gum or tobacco, smoke or apply
cosmetics in the laboratory. Do not pick up broken glass with your hands. Use
tongs or other mechanical means. Remove Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) such as gloves and lab coats before leaving the lab.

F. Trends

SOCIAL MEDIA- Social media allows educators to incorporate real-world

examples and case studies into their teaching, making learning more relevant
and practical. By following industry leaders, organizations, and relevant
communities on social media, students can stay updated on current trends,
developments, and best practices in their field of study.

GOOGLE- Google’s suite of tools and services offers educators and students
valuable resources for research, collaboration, communication, and learning,
empowering them to enhance their educational experiences and outcomes.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE- AI has the potential to revolutionize education

by making learning more personalized, accessible, and efficient, while also
empowering educators with valuable insights and tools to enhance teaching
practices and student outcomes.
