The 4-7-8 technique

In this exercise, you follow these steps:


Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four
hold your breath for a count of seven
exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of eight
Repeat for a few minutes or as long as need to to calm
down

This pattern helps regulate the breath and can promote a


sense of calmness and relaxation.
