COURSE OUTCOME
Upon completing this engineering mathematics course, students will possess a comprehensive
understanding of Laplace transform, Fourier series, Fourier transform, and probability theory.
They will be proficient in applying Laplace transform to solve differential equations and
engineering problems, analyzing periodic functions using Fourier series, and transforming
functions between time and frequency domains with Fourier transform. Additionally, students
will be well-versed in probability theory, able to work with discrete and continuous random
variables, compute probabilities, expectations, and variances, and understand the concepts of
joint distribution, independence, and correlation. Overall, these course outcomes will equip
students with the mathematical skills and tools necessary to tackle complex engineering
challenges, analyze signals, and model random phenomena encountered in various engineering
fields.
