TECHNICAL GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL ART

COMPETITION

GENERAL COMPETITION TERMS

1. Competition participants are National or International undergraduate


(S1), diploma (D4), or diploma III (D3) students.
2. Artwork ideas for all categories in the competition should align with
the theme 'Embracing Culture, Enhancing Sustainability.'
3. The entire schedule of events follows the published timeline.
4. The participants must complete the registration form at the
competition's registration link.
5. By submitting their works, participants agree to grant the committee the
right to use the work in any manner and media, including without
limitation, the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy, display, or
translate in printed or electronic media and other interests as long as it
is not commercial.

I. BATIK DESIGN COMPETITION FOR YOUTH’S BLAZERS

A. Specific Competition Terms

1. The design concept of the batik motif is developed from West

Java batik motifs to be applied to youth’s blazers.

2. The design of batik motifs neither violates applicable ethical

boundaries (must not contain violence, profanity, and sexual

content) nor incites hatred or inequality on the grounds of

ethnicity, religion, race, and social groups.

3. The design of batik motifs is a new creation and has never been

in any other events. Should there be any complaints about the

work at any time, the jury and committee are not responsible.

4. Participants submit only one design in the Batik Motif Design

Competition.

5. Participants submit their works in two forms. The first form

should be the batik design image on A2 paper size = 60x40cm,


and the other form should be the design image applied to a

blazer. Design images are allowed to be colored using computer

techniques or others. Both designs should be submitted in digital

format.

6. Participants attach a plagiarism-free statement for the work.

B. Submission of Work

1. Submission of work is no later than January 22 nd, 2023 to the link

2. The submission of work includes a softcopy and a description of

at least 100-150 words.

3. The submitted work may be published on ISBI Bandung’s social

and promotional media.

4. The Assessments of the Batik Motif Competition cover the

following aspects:

a. Theme suitability

b. Aesthetic ability (content of artistic values, motif, color

composition

c. Creativity and originality of design ideas (philosophy, and

character)

d. Work neatness

e. Description

C. The Jury

1. The Jury of the Batik Pattern Design Competition are individuals

with expertise in classic, modern, or contemporary batik.

2. The Jury may decide not to assess the work and disqualify the

participants if they violate any terms and conditions of the

competition.

3. The Jury’s decision is final and cannot be changed.

D. Award

1. The winner will receive a Certificate and Trophy from ISBI Bandung,

which will be sent through a courier service.

2. All participants of the Batik Pattern Design Competition are entitled to

a certificate from ISBI Bandung.

II. CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPETITION

A. The Specific Terms for the Contemporary Dance Competition

1. The dance must be a duet (male-female; female-female; male-

male).

2. The duration of the dance is 3 - 7 minutes.

3. Dance music accompaniment can be live or playback.

4. The work neither violates applicable ethical boundaries (must not

contain violence, profanity, and sexual content) nor incites hatred

or inequality on the grounds of ethnicity, religion, race, and social

groups.

5. The work is a new creation and has never been in any other events.

Should there be any complaints about the work at any time, the jury

and committee are not responsible.

6. The work is recorded in the audiovisual format in the form of a live

recording using a single camera, single frame, dynamic movement,

moving, panning, zoom in, zoom out, and no cut-to-cut editing.

7. The image resolution is above 720 pixels in quality.

8. The sequence of team profiles in the video is as follows: 1) institution

logo and name, 2) participants' names and photos, 3) artwork title and

synopsis (max 100 words).

9. Recordings of work in MP4 format are saved on each participant's

Google Drive and the link is sent to the committee.

10. Participants attach a plagiarism-free statement for their work.

B. Submission of Work

1. Submission of work is no later than January 22nd, 2023 to the link

2. The submission of work includes a maximum 500-word description

of the work.

3. The submitted work may be published on ISBI Bandung’s social and

promotional media.

4. The assessments cover the following aspects:

a. Choreography (form, technique, content)


b. Relevance of the idea to the competition theme
c. Creativity

C. The Jury

1. The Jury of the Contemporary Dance Competition are individuals with

expertise in classic, modern, or contemporary dances.

2. The Jury may decide not to assess the work and disqualify the

participants if they violate any terms and conditions of the

competition.

3. The Jury’s decision is final and cannot be changed.

D. Award

1. The winner will receive a Certificate and Trophy from ISBI

Bandung, which will be sent through a courier service.

2. All participants of the Contemporary Dance Competition are entitled

to a certificate from ISBI Bandung.

III. CONTEMPORARY MUSIC COMPETITION

A. Specific Terms for Contemporary Music Competition

1. The use of instruments (non-electric, electric musical instruments, and

experimental results) is unlimited.

2. The duration of the musical composition is 5-10 minutes.

3. The use of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), MIDI, and any form of

sound sampling facilities is forbidden.

4. The work neither violates applicable ethical boundaries (must not

contain violence, profanity, and sexual content) nor incites hatred or

inequality on the grounds of ethnicity, religion, race, and social

groups.

5. The musical composition is a new piece that has never been performed

or published on any social media platform. Should there be any

complaints about the work at any time, the jury and committee are not

responsible.

6. The musical composition is recorded audio-visually in a live record

using one camera, one frame, dynamic movement, moving, panning,

zooming in, zooming out, and no cut-to-cut editing.

7. All instruments are visible within the frame and audible clearly.

8. The image resolution is above 720 pixels in quality.

9. The presenters consist of 3 individuals in one team.

10. The sequence of team profiles in the video is as follows: 1) institution

logo and name, 2) participants' names and photos, 3) work title and

synopsis (max 100 words).

11. Recordings of work in MP4 format are saved on each participant's

Google Drive, and the link is sent to the committee.

12. Participants attach a plagiarism-free statement for their work.

participants if they violate any terms and conditions of the

competition.

3. The Jury’s decision is final and cannot be changed.

2. All participants of the Contemporary Music Competition are entitled to
