Problem Identification and cause
• First, we conducted a survey to see the reality among the people in our
city so we chose some areas nearby my house like Syphon,
Manoharpura, Badgaon, Dewali etc. we met so many people around us
and talked about their education, profession, family background etc.
and then we asked them about their children's education, about
his/her problems related to education and we came to know that
many children don't have the proper material to study and facing
difficulty in understanding logics, English alphabets, Lack of proper
guidance, good teaching faculties etc.
• After that, we made a cluster of some interested students who wanted
to gain knowledge and were bothered about their future we gave them
the opportunity and gave guidance and provided them stationery
items like copies, pens, pencils, erasers, coloured pencils, crayons etc.,
After this, we searched for a place where we can teach them, we
talked many landlords for their house on rent and explained to them
that’s why we need their house on rent many of them refused but still,
we got one and luckily it was in the middle of all the student's places.
• After this, we took them to our rental house we spend a pleasant time
together we asked about them their hobbies, interest their likes and
dislikes etc. we tried to make a comfortable and enjoyable
environment for them so that they can ask anything about their
problems, or queries about their future and we guided them, There
were different students according to their respective age groups, some
being younger and some elder classes so we took different respective
measures to test their knowledge and help them accordingly. We
initially started with the lower levels of difficulty like reciting alphabets,
counting digits, recognising pictures etc and then went on to higher
level of difficulty and gradually helped them and taught then
accordingly. With this eventually we could help them learn and boost
their confidence levels. We gave different slots according to their
capabilities, between studies we made sure they were enjoying the
process so we gave them breaks, made them play a few games like
cricket, kho-kho etc, made them recite things in unison to make them
feel interested in the subjects accordingly. We almost spent 2-2.5
hours a day with them every-day. Other than studies in days we used
to sit with them and talk to them about how they felt, how everything
was for them and about their interests to know them, we provided
them food packets in between the breaks. Overall we ensured to take
care of them and help them learn something.
• We have had a few sessions in past few days and all I can observe was
that our efforts were fulfilling as the students were learning and
getting to know things which we had taught them. The bonus being
that all of them were so regular, they were practising at home too
which made us Feel so better. It quite took a lot of patience and hard
work, but finally we tried making a small difference out in the world
there. This might just sound so easy but it had been a really huge task
from convincing children, to convincing their parents and making them
aware of so many untold stories. The students were also good and
cooperative they made this journey of our look so smooth and
happening. When I look back now, it feels so good to create a
difference out there. Diya actually gave me a great responsibility to
fulfill, manage and helped me learn alot to
Effectiveness of Project
Everyone speaks about education and its importance for underprivileged
children. By giving good education to these children we will not only help them
but also can secure the living of their parents and their future, those parents
who are not capable enough to give education and a brighter life to their
children. There are ample reasons as to why they need education and how it is
important for them. It will help them to improve themselves and learn new
things, find good opportunities, become a good human being and lead a
respectable life in the society with their head high. The more education these
children will acquire, the higher is the chance to create a good life for their
family.
Conclusion
Acquisition of education requires the fulfilment of needs and requirements by
the individuals. In Government schools, education is provided free of cost, but
the individuals themselves have to obtain other items, such as uniforms, school
bags, stationary, transportation facilities and so forth. For the poverty stricken
individuals, it becomes difficult to meet these requirements. The main
objective of the poverty stricken families is to generate a source of income, so
that they are able to fulfil their basic necessities.
