apprehensions?

Complete the facial expression and explain why you feel this way.
I felt so happy, nervous and excited! I’m happy
to teach new faces, nervous because I’m going to handle three
sections and excited because I really love to teach.

3. My Analysis

A. Orientation sessions are conducted because . . . .

Orientations are conducted because we, the student teachers need to

be well-equipped with what to do and how to do things inside and
outside the cooperating school premises. There is a need for us to be
oriented on the policies of the school, the students’ behaviors, and the
role that we should act and do. Thus, we may be prepared in facing
and overcoming trials that may come along the way.

B. I feel

During the orientation I felt happy that at last I can now apply the
theories we learned and experience the real scenario of teaching. On
the other hand, I am bothered because I’m not quite sure if I can
expound my ideas well especially in literature. My worries include, not
being able to speak fluently, to expound ideas, and to use appropriate
words at specific situations.

C. I know

I know I can do it! I believe I can accomplish the tasks assigned to us

with the help of my co-student teachers, students, mentors, and of
course God who is the provider of everything.

5. My Insights:

Am I really prepared to teach?

Yes, I am prepared to teach, as far as my knowledge is concerned. This is because the

knowledge and skills I acquired at my college is more than enough. Moreover, it is time
for me to practice what I have learned in the classroom. However, emotionally
speaking, I am not yet ready to face students in different attitudes and characters. I still
need to observe, adjust and get to know my workplace better. I believe in saying that
“teaching is a noble’s profession.” You need to give all your best to your students for
them to mold and become a better person someday. Am I really prepared to teach?
Yes, I am ready to teach because our teachers mold us and taught us various strategies
and methods on how to handle and deal with students, on how to cooperate and
mingle with people around us and how to become a good and role model teacher in
front of our students. I will give them my biggest gratitude for preparing us to become a
good teacher.
