Position: Senior Associate: Cell, Module Battery & BMS Testing
Tenure – 19th October 2020 to Current
Duties:
1. Cell testing on different make such as cell preparation, life cycle, nominal capacity, DCIR, rate test, HPPC
test, aging test, nail penetration, crash, crush, drive cycle test, data analysis and providing in-depth
technical report.
2. Battery Pack & Module level tests such as capacity test, thermal cycling, thermal shock, humidity cycling,
salt spray test, vibration test & HALT tests.
3. Battery pack assembly, prototype concept proof validation, battery pack with BMS integration along with
handling pack level faults life cell to cell connection, cell to bus bar connection, battery pack with BMS
connection.
4. Battery prototyping includes cell to cell wire bond CNC operation, cell to cell spot welding, complete
battery integration and connection or communication fault troubleshooting.
5. BMS components and its functionality test including temperature sensor calibration, voltage sensor,
current sensor validation and SOC calibration.
6. Overall battery pack validation and homologation, design validation plan (DVP) preparation, field test
planning to get field data and analyzing data using to predict product reliability.
7. Reliability, Life ratio, Acceleration Factor calculation based on field data.
8. Lab infrastructure development for cell testing, battery pack testing, BMS testing, battery prototyping,
battery pack integration.
9. Conducting tests to plot and verify CAN network and data parsing using bit size, range and resolution using
Vector CANoe, vehicle spy, PEAK CAN or Diadem.
10. Conducting energy consumption test on components, operating response time, functional and mechanical
fatigue after usage life.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Project Management includes planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.
2. Team work, team handling, building team motivation, time allocation, knowledge transfer for
different D&R tests.

Duties:
5. Conducting Lithium-Ion battery environmental test, electrical test, abuse test and mechanical fatigue test.
6. Conducting cell level and battery pack level life cycle test, developing test profiles, planning, execution and
data interpretation.
7. Conducting Lithium-Ion battery passive propagation test, nail penetration test, life cycle test and
longduration high temp aging.
8. Conducting cell level test for characterization COV, capacity, DCIR curve, AC impedance, cycle aging, calendar
aging, fast charging, spot welding validation, over charge test, heat to thermal run-away test, coolant flooding
impact test and corrosion study test at different SoC and Temperature.
