"INTRODUCTION OF COMPUTER”

: Information technology development and impact globalization demand that some changes
be made in a system of administration and management organization. To be a successful
organization and stable require quality management and systematic. To obtain organizational
management efficient and quality, Individual of members in the organization must apply
information and communication technology or ICT in the management and administration
system of organization. Transformation in an organization is highly demanded to give birth to
an organization which is competitive in all aspects. Change or the transformation must
include all fields including transformation in term of ICT has changed the way we get, use
and spread information and knowledge. The integration between computer technology and
telecommunications has produced a revolution or transformation in the information system.
Data or information that was once time-consuming days to be processed before it can be sent
or spread to the world, can now be done with just a few seconds. So don't overdo it if on in
this day and age people always use expressions of information is at the tip of the finger
because it is so coincidental.
Definition:

A computer is an electronic machine that processes raw data to give information as outputAn
electronic device that accepts data as input, and transforms it under the influence of a set of
special instructions called Programs, to produce the desired output referred to as Information.

Explanations;

A computer is described as an electronic device because; it is made up of electronic

components and uses electric energy (such as electricity) to operate.A computer has an
internal memory, which stores data & instructions temporarily awaiting processing, and even
holds the intermediate result (information) before it is communicated to the recipients
through the Output devices.It works on the data using the instructions issued, means that, the
computer cannot do any useful job on its own. It can only work as per the set of instructions
issued.A computer will accept data in one form and produce it in another form. The data is
normally held within the computer as it is being proces
History of transformation computer:

The first recorded use of the word computer was in 1613, referring to a person who
performed calculations or computations and the word continued with the same meaning until
the middle of the 20th century. Since the end of the 19th century the word began to form a
clearer meaning which refers to a machine that performs computations.
The Development of Technology Transformation

Information and Information Systems. Roughly speaking, there are four stages in the era

development of computer technology and information systems. The four eras occurred not
only because they were driven by the rapid development of computer technology, but
supported by new theories on modern enterprise management. According to Indrajit (1998),
the first era of computer technology and information systems became known as the era of
computerization. This era began in the 1960s when mini-computers and mainframes were
introduced to enterprises by IBM into the industrial world. The ability of computers to
calculate quickly has led many enterprises at that time to use computers for data processing
(data processing) purposes. However, the use of computers at that time was more about
improving the workmanship to be more effective This is due to the fact that the competition
between businesses or enterprises and organizations is growing. Competition between
companies and organizations was seen to be accelerating until the outbreak of the era of
globalization of information. In this era, the development of computer technology and
information was seen as too fast that it could not be expected. This has become a
phenomenon because no one has been able to withstand the rapid development of
computer and information technology until now. Computer and information technology
systems are used as an effective tool in the role of providing organizations with information
overflow.
Types of Computers

Computers are a convenience used in the majority of everyday tasks nowadays. As is known,
the computer has a microprocessor inside and other hardware outside that complements it,
namely the mouse, keyboard and other cables. For information, there are ten (10) types of
computers to know which are:

1. PERSONAL COMPUTER (PC) - otherwise known as a personal computer built for

this individual use. Macs are also hardware in this category
2. DESKTOP - a computer that cannot be carried as a mobile device in which it is
placed in one place. It comes with storage advantages, the price of which is much
lower than a laptop or Laptop
3. LAPTOP - also known as laptop is a portable computer that can be carried around the
location. Components such as a screen, keyboard, processor are in it.
4. NETBOOK - is an ultra-portable computer that is smaller than a regular laptop and
costs less. However, the components contained in it are less powerful when compared
with laptops. Its use is also not so great when compared with ordinary laptops.
5. PDA - PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) is a computer that integrates and uses flash
memory instead of hard drive for data storage. Does not own a keyboard but uses
touch technology. The physique is smaller (slightly larger than the novel book),
lightweight and equipped with battery durability.
History of Hardware Development and Computer Software:

Transformation or change that occurs in computer technology is closely related to change that
applies to hardware and software computer. Computer and hardware are two element laments
that form one complete and fully functional computer system. If one of these elements is not
present, then a computer will not be complete and not can work perfectly. Computer erosion,
on the other hand, is a complete instruction in the form of programs and procedures who
controls, manages and supports the system computers as well as information processing
activities. In simple terms, hardware is a component which is in the computer while the
software will tell the hardware what to do and how to do something direction or work.If
viewed in terms of hardware development history computer, many changes can be seen
instead only in terms of shape, even functionality.
