Dear Sir or Madam,

I should be grateful if you would send me information about the regulations for

Could you also tell me whether the school arranges accommodation for students?

Dear Mr. Green,

Yesterday I noticed a situation at Rabbit Park that could be very dangerous for the
children who play there. The equipment appears to be old and worn. For example,
the leather seats on the swings are falling apart. I observed a child who had
difficulty staying on a seat because it was worn so thin. In addition, the mats under
the equipment are torn or missing entirely. This concerns me greatly.

Would you please look into this matter? Perhaps the equipment needs to be
repaired, or preferably replaced, to insure the continued safety of our children.

Sincerely,

Anna Smith

Dear Mr. Perkla,

Thank you for helping to make this year’s Friends and Neighbours Dinner a
success.

The tables and benches you crews built, delivered, and set up were put to good
use. Meals were enjoyed by 376 people who might otherwise have spent their
holiday alone and hungry.

Homemade Construction has a positive reputation in the community. That

reputations is well deserved.

Dear Sir,
Re: Work Experience: 16-27 June 2009
I am currently studying at Lawrence University and I would very much appreciate
the opportunity to gain some work experience at Design Co next year in June.

I am studying nine GCSE’s including Double Science, Graphics, Maths, English

and IT and am hoping to secure good grades in all of them. For my current
graphics project I am designing packing, an instruction leaflet and an
advertisement for a mobile phone customising kit.

For the past 18 months I have delivered ‘The Advertiser’ to about 80 homes in the
Poring land area every Saturday. I have proven myself to be punctual and reliable.

I am happy to supply any further information and am available for interview

weekdays after 3:30 pm. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your
time in considering my application.

Yours faithfully,

E.S.P. Bank
1111 Oak Street
Long Beach, CA 90800

Dear Mr. Lowry,

I am writing to ask why I haven’t received a bank statement from you this month. It
is extremely inconvenient for me to be without my statements because I have to
use them to provide evidence to my employer of monthly expenses.

I am sure you are aware that is not the first time I have had to write to you with
regard to this matter. Soon I won’t have any patience left with E.S.P. Bank and will
take my services elsewhere.

I trust that you will give this matter your urgent attention and do what is necessary
to ensure this mistakes is not repeated.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mavis,
Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your recent selection for inclusion
on the short-list for the NY City Writers Prize.

I just heard the news today from Francis Goodspeed when she dropped into my
office with the marked up proofs for her latest collection of stories. As you can
imagine, Fran was very excited too!

I am so proud of you. As you know, I have been a long time promoter of your work,
and in my mind it’s about time they finally recognized you talent. In fact, I believe
that your selection for the NYCWP short-list is long overture.

I have already read two of the other books that are short-listed and in my opinion
they don’t hold a candle to your ‘No Turning Back’. I will read the other three books
nominated and let you know what I think. Although, I could hardly be considered an
objective reviewer on this one!

Once again Mavis, my sincere congratulations on your nomination. Just being

nominated for the NYCWP is an honour in itself. I will be keeping my fingers
crossed for you until they announce the winner on March 1st.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mrs Smith,
I am writing this letter to advise you that I wish to resign from my position as
Administrative Assistant within ABC Solutions, with effect from the date above.

I am of the understanding that I am required to give you four weeks’ notices of my

intentions; therefore my date on which I depart will be April 04, 2015. My line
manager advised me that I have five days of annual leave outstanding. Please
could you inform me as to whether I am permitted to take this leave during my
noticed period, or whether you prefer to pay it to me as part of my final salary
payment?

May I take this opportunity to thank you most graciously for the help, support, and
opportunities have had in the four years I have been with the company. It has been
a remarkable experience and I feel I have gained a lot of knowledge that I can take
with me into my future pursuits.

Should you require any additional information from me, do not hesitate to contact
me.

Yours sincerely,
Jeo Bloggs
