A. WELCOMING SPEECH

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and salam sejahtera.

Honurable Dr’s, ladies and gentlemen,

In shaa Allah, We will start our briefing session today with the recitation of Ummul Kitab. And for that
I would like to invite Mr. Kudrat Mukhtar to recite and lead us in dua.

B. SALUTATION

Honourable Dr. Fauziah Hassan, Our Beloved Director of USIM ‘Alamiyyah,

Venarble Guest, Mr. Erizman Bin Soib,

Senior Assistant Director, Higher Education (Internationalization Division),

Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) Malaysia,

Senior Officers, All USIM ‘Alamiyyah Staff, All Palestinian Students,and

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the International Centre (USIM ‘Alamiyyah),

we would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you:

Selamat Datang, Welcome, Ahlan wa sahlan wa marhaban bikum, to Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia
(USIM).
For your information, USIM 'Alamiyyah is introduced to reflect USIM’s transnational policy that is
comprehensive and goes beyond the typical internationalization currently practiced by most institutions.
This means that, besides the content in the curriculum, the university expects everyone in its community
to engage in global networking, transnational research, and experiencing other cultures.

There is also a need to create a borderless intercultural setting at the university. For staff and students

who do not have the opportunity to go abroad, ‘internationalization at home’ activities and the presence

of international students and staff are highly encouraged.

This ‘Alamiyyah policy is designed by considering the entire ecosystem of current developments in

higher education and the unique integration of Naqli and Aqli elements of USIM to position it globally

and create a community and graduates who can operate within a global context.

We extend a warm welcome to all Palestinian students (both postgraduate and undergraduate) currently

residing in Malaysia to this briefing session. I am pleased to announce that representatives from the

Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) Malaysia will deliver the briefing today.

By the way, my name is Mahiuddin Jahangir from Bangladesh, and I am currently doing industrial

training in this office. So One of the tasks as part of my training is to be the emcee of this evening's

ceremony. And frankly speaking This is my first time hosting a program, so please forgive me if there

are any mistakes while hosting this event. And I truly believe that you will understand."
C. DIRECTOR’S SPEECH

In shaa Allah, we will start our session today with welcoming remarks from the Director of USIM

‘Alamiyyah. So Without further ado, I would like to call upon all of our favorite one and only

honourable Director, Dr. Fauziah Hassan, to deliver her welcoming speech. ‫تفضّل مشكورة‬...
