2. Introduction

Food delivery market in India is worth over 12.5 billion. Online food delivery is
contributing more than 7% to this market. India has a very high potential and untapped
market in online food delivery space. These days’ people are prone to eating and placing
ordering online from the restaurants. Even though these restaurants and online web
application like Food panda, Swiggy, Zomato are yielding good returns this may adversely
effects the health and life style of the people. Taking all this into consideration we have
introduced a home food web application for better health and life style of the people.

The home food web application works like intermediate between service provider and the
customer. The order details from customer’s mobile are wirelessly updated in central
database and subsequently sent to kitchen and cashier respectively. The vendor can manage
the menu modifications easily. The wireless web application on mobile devices provide a
means of convenience, improving efficiency and accuracy for vendors by saving time,
reducing human errors and real-time customer feedback.

Now a day, all systems are managed by computer. Also all business transaction, billing
system, inventory system are managed by information and communication technology (ICT).
The rapid growth in information and communication technology (ICT) has greatly affected
the business transactions. With increasing use of communication technology emergence of
wireless technology has created quite mobility in the business transactions. The rapid growth
of wireless telecommunication and the network lead industries that are gaining more
customers every day. Providing fast services to customer within less time and also reducing
human efforts is aim of all computerized system. The small scale vendors have to provide the
best services and maintain relationships with their customer in order to survive in this
competition.

Since there is constant migration of people in various states, restaurant food is not assumed to
be healthy for regular consumption. Thus the system efficiently manages the home cooked
food in various strata of society. There can be a provision of membership for regular
customer. System provides the recommendation related with menu. Admin can add chef into
the system. Chef can add food items and its details into the system. He can also view
feedback given by the system. Customer is the user who searches for categories of food, add
them to cart buy them though online payment or cash on delivery and then can also give
feedback about their food order.

There can be a provision for customer, if suppose customer want their order after some time
then it will provided on that time. System also provides menus as per age of customer. If
customer wants recipe of any menu then our system provide that facility. The Web
application manage the food according to time of day so as which food is available at a
particular time in nearby vicinity area. It will also encourage business from home. With this
system customer can view the latest meal menu and send order using their smart phone or
tablet. The tablet will interact with server in the web application through wireless connection.

2.1 Objectives and scope of the Project.

The main objective of our project is to provide freshly prepared home food to the customers.
The customer can order food based on the menu available.
 Must help in providing recognition for small business from home.
 Main motive is to both-make money and have access to good, healthy, home-made
delicacies.
 Solid payment processing to must be avoided in order to reduce fraudulent cases.
 Simple search & browse functionality to order meals, shopping cart are to be provided.
 User should be provided with review system.

doorstep. This service is specifically designed for those who prioritize the wholesome
goodness of home-cooked food. The web application ensures prompt delivery through its
dedicated delivery service, offering users an easy and navigable interface to select from a
diverse menu. Both sellers and buyers engage as users in this system, facilitating a seamless
experience for those in search of nutritious and homemade culinary delights. Admin can add

 XAMPP
XAMPP is a free and open-source software package that provides a complete web server
solution for developers. It includes several components that are necessary to run a web server,
including the Apache web server, the MySQL database server. One of the main advantages
of XAMPP is its simplicity and ease of use. XAMPP also includes several useful tools and
features, such as phpMyAdmin for managing databases, and FileZilla for FTP file
transfers. .Another advantage of XAMPP is its flexibility. Overall, XAMPP is a powerful and
versatile web server solution that continues to be widely used by developers around the
world.

 My SQL
MySQL is the world’s most widely used open-source Relational Database Management
System (RDBMS) that runs as a server providing multi-user access to a number of databases.
The MySQL development project has made it source code available under the terms of the
GNU General Public License, as well as under a variety of proprietary agreements. MySQL
is a popular choice of database for use in web applications, and is a central development of
the widely used LAMP open-source web application software stack.

5.User characteristics

Home Food application comes with two interesting features for its users. The first one is that
if the person is registered as a chef then he is provided with the several set of facilities like,
the chef can update the menu for the day, provide recommendations to the customer. The
second feature is that if the person is registered as a user (customer) then he is provided some
other set of facilities like, the use can is provided with the menu for the day, he can select the
food based on his favorite cuisine, he can track the food being delivered .The use is also
provided with online payment processing and the feedback system.

6. Module description

 Add Chef: This module is used to add the personal details of chef. Chef can be added,
updated or deleted.
 Add Products: In this module the chef adds the products which is been prepared by
him.
 Add Category: Admin has the privilege to add the category to this system.
 Search: Customer can search different varieties foods and the chef in the web
application.
 Add to Cart: Customer can choose any one of the chef and add their products to the
cart. Based on the quantity total is calculated.
 Online payment: This module is used to receive payment from the customer and
credit it to admin account.
 Review Management: Chef can view the reviews made by the customer.
 Login: It allows the users to enter the user id and password to login to a particular
session and make use of it.
 Register: It allows to create an account for the users and use it later for various
purposes
 Change Password: It allows users to update their password.

8.Limitation of the project

 Older smartphones or devices with limited technical capabilities may not fully support
the web application.
 The web application's efficiency relies on stable wireless connectivity; any
disruptions or poor network coverage may lead to delays

9.Future scope and further enhancement of the project.

 Implement subscription-based models offering discounts or exclusive perks for

regular users, encouraging customer loyalty and repeat orders.
 Extend the web application's accessibility by developing versions for different
platforms, including web browsers and iOS devices, reaching a broader user base.
