QURAN - The Word MAKKATA
QURAN - The Word MAKKATA
31:20 Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is in the heavens
and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both]
apparent and unapparent ( wabatinatan ) ? But of the people is he who disputes
about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book [from Him].
57:13 On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those
who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said,
"Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a
door, its interior ( batinuhu) containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.
6:120 And leave what is apparent of sin and what is secret ( wabatinahu ) thereof.
Indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used
to commit.
6:139 And they say, "What is in the bellies (butuni) of these animals is exclusively
for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them
have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise
and Knowing.
3:118 O you who have believed, do not take as intimates (bitanatan) those other than
yourselves, for they will not spare you [any] ruin. They wish you would have hardship.
Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is
greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason.
55:54 reclining on beds whose inner linings (batainuha) are of silk brocade, and the
fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.
7:33 Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and
what is hiddened ( batana ) - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you
associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say
about Allah that which you do not know."

· The word that we should raise our attention is the prefix preposition : bi ( ب
ِ )
that means with, which indicates bi-batni and thus makkata as context for a physical
place can’t be applied.
· Traditional translation translate bi-batni as: in the valley as one could not say
with the valley. The prefix bi that means with, had been twisted or ignored.
