1.INTRODUCTION

Congratulations, and thank you for your purchase of a Raise Boring

SBM 400 SR System. To gain full advantage of all the features of your system,
ensure safe and trouble-free operation, please read this manual thoroug hly
before use. You should notice that we use a system of warnings, cautions and
notes to draw your attention to various aspects we consider relevant.

This manual contains operational and maintenance instructions for the SBM
400 SR Raise Boring System. The system includes: The Raise Bore machine,
the Electro-hydraulic Power Pack, the remote control console, the Reamer, the
Drill String components and the Pilot Bit; as well as tools to make or break
threaded Pipe connections. Because of its unique design, this highly mobile and
low profile system will perform the same work as a much larger conventional
system. However, unlike the larger systems, the SBM 400 SR ease of handling
provides minimum downtime for transport, site preparation, set up and take
down.

The operation and maintenance data contained in this manual have been
organized and presented as indicated in the following section descriptions.

WARRANTY

1. WARRANTIES

TUMI offers a year warranty against defects in assembly of the machine and
accessories or parts that have been manufactured by our company.

TUMI reserves the right to decide if the guaranteed parts or goods will have
to be returned by the Client to proceed with its evaluation, or that they will be
inspected on site by trained and specialized personnel that TUMI deems
appropriate, in which all results will be informed to the Client.

The guarantees do not apply to defects resulting from:

(i) Neglect or abuse.

(ii) Improper or inadequate maintenance or operation
(iii) Modification or alteration not authorized by TUMI RAISE BORING
(iv) As a result of accident damage, flooding, earthquakes, vandalism, sabotage
or acts of third parties. The warranty does not apply to circumstances or problems
due to normal wear and tear. Also, the guarantee does not apply if the client
uses the machine outside the specifications stated in its technical specification
chart reference
