IOT Water Pollution Monitoring RC Boat
IOT Water Pollution Monitoring RC Boat
ABSTRACT:
Water plays an indispensable part of our life. The Earth is comprised of
75% water. But the advent of human use and industrial sewage has resulted in
the pollution of the water bodies such as Canals, Lakes, Rivers etc. This has
become a major threat to human, animal life and the marine life as well; as all
life on earth rely on these water bodies as their primary source of water.
The foremost step in preventing the pollution of these water bodies
requires the monitoring of the actual level of water pollution. The problem with
water pollution monitoring is the manual effort of taking a boat through a lake
or reservoir each time to monitor pollution throughout the water body.
We have designed a solution that will help in determining the water
quality easily and effectively.
This RC(Radio controlled) water pollution monitor boat allows for
recording as well as transmitting water quality data to an IOT server online.
This project is remote-operated and controlled by an RC remote using which it
can be maneuvered accordingly. The components required for movement of the
device includes a motorized propeller system to provide the forward propulsion
and servo motor arrangement to provide with the steering using a rudder.
OBJECTIVE :
INTRODUCTION:
Water assumes a significant part in human existence. About 37% of
metropolitan and 64% of rustic Indians are without admittance to safe drinking
water according to the World Health Organization (WHO) report. Freshwater is
significant for the endurance of every living being. It is more significant for
individuals as they rely on it for modern, food creation, garbage removal and
social prerequisite.
Groundwater is a significant freshwater asset; during the most recent
decade, it was seen that groundwater gets polluted due to expanded human
exercises, and in this manner, various instances of waterborne infections have
been seen. So there is a requirement for understanding the water science, which
incorporates the premise of the information on the multidimensional part of
oceanic ecological science which includes the synthesis, source and responses
transportation of water.
The nature of water is significant for humankind since it is
straightforwardly connected to human-government assistance. Common water
assets like groundwater and surface water have consistently been the least
expensive and most generally accessible assets of new water. Nonetheless, these
assets are moreover destined to get sullied because of different variables counting
human, mechanical and business exercises too as normal cycles.
The fundamental thought of this examination is to devise a far reaching
strategy that examines and predicts water nature of specific place with the
assistance of certain water quality boundaries. These boundaries incorporate
physical, organic or substance factors which impact water quality. There are
certain quality guidelines set up by global associations like World Health
Organization (WHO) and Environmental Security Agency (EPA), which fill in
as a benchmark for deciding the nature of water.
Water quality is generally ascertained by the amount of contaminants in it.
Accurate detection of contaminants is often required for planning and
implementing mitigation measures to protect water supplies.
METHODOLOGY:
STEP 1: Setting up the device circuit using Sensors like pH and turbidity
sensor and incorporating a GSM SIM module and GPS module for the
transmission of data to the IOT server.
