Jariana: That's right, Mariangel, and when it's time for the show, we will be starting the first segment
"Traveling the World" where we will be talking about Venezuela and the beautiful landscapes that we
can find in its locations.
Mariangel: Actually Jariana, did you know that Venezuela has incredible tourist sites? Ranging from
traditional and simple to extraordinary. A clear example is Colonia Tovar, a Venezuelan German town
that maintains its German customs and is an incredible attraction for tourists.
Jariana: Are you talking about a Venezuelan German town? I don't understand.
Mariangel: Yes, that's right, just as you heard it, Colonia Tovar is a Venezuelan city, capital of Tovar
Municipality in Aragua State, founded in 1843 by a group of German immigrants.
Jariana: How is it possible that after so many years they still maintain their customs?
Mariangel: What happened was that this group of people who arrived simply wanted to obtain an
agricultural production, which they still maintain, but it wasn't until 1940 and something that they
started mingling with Venezuelans because they all got married and lived among themselves.
Jariana: So one day I would like to go and see those beautiful landscapes you tell me about and taste
the exquisite dishes of German cuisine.
Mariangel: You have no idea, I could even fit in your suitcase, the one fifty must serve for something
at some point.
Jariana: Hahaha, I imagine so. So, knowing a little about Colonia Tovar, an incredible tourist site as
we have mentioned, we finally arrive at the second segment of our program which is the interviews.
Where we have a few people in different parts of Venezuela who will tell us about their own
experiences in those places.
Mariangel: It is at this moment when we give the floor to our colleague Luisana Gutiérrez in Mérida
State... go ahead Luisana.

SECOND SEGMENT: Interviews

Luisana
Luisana: Thank you very much Mariangel, that's right, today I come to tell you about my experience in
Mérida State, which has brought me pleasant surprises with its incredible places.
Speaking a little more generally, Mérida State in Venezuela is known for its natural beauty, mountain
climate, and the Sierra Nevada. Its capital, Mérida, is an important tourist and university center. It is
important to highlight that the economy is based on agriculture, livestock, tourism, and education. The
University of Los Andes stands out, as well as festivities like the Feria del Sol and Holy Week.
Mérida is a region with impressive landscapes, rich culture, and a welcoming atmosphere. Visit the
zoo and I couldn't be more pleased with the view.
Jariana: Don't get too used to the cold, the tropical atmosphere of Santa Bárbara is still waiting for
you.
Luisana: I hope it won't be hard for me to come back because since I've been here all I don't want is
to go back.

Samuel
Samuel: Thank you Luisana for telling us a bit about Mérida, but now it's my turn to share my
experience from the most well-known place in Venezuela... Caracas.
Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, is a fascinating and dynamic city located in a mountainous valley.
Surrounded by imposing mountains of the Coastal Range, it offers a picturesque and varied
landscape. With its tropical high altitude climate, warm temperatures and marked rainy seasons,
Caracas enjoys a pleasant climate all year round. The city's architecture combines well-preserved
colonial styles in the historic center with modern skyscrapers and contemporary buildings in other
areas. Caracas is known for its vibrant cultural scene, which includes a wide range of museums,
theaters, art galleries and cultural spaces. The cultural diversity of the population is reflected in its
gastronomy, which offers a mix of typical Venezuelan and international dishes. However, the city
also faces urban challenges such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution and citizen insecurity.
Despite these challenges, Caracas remains a unique and captivating place, where history, culture
and modernity intertwine in a vibrant and diverse urban landscape.
José
José: I don't know why I was expecting to say that Caracas is Caracas and the rest is just mountains
and snakes...
Anyway, I'll tell you a bit about Maracaibo, the second largest city in Venezuela, known as the "Land
of the Beloved Sun." It stands out for its imposing bridge over Lake Maracaibo, its historic center with
architectural gems like the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, and its rich colonial heritage. Tourists
can enjoy boat rides on Lake Maracaibo, visit the Juan Manuel Ciénagas National Park, and taste the
delicious Zulian cuisine. It is a destination that combines history, culture, and natural beauty in
Venezuela.
Finally, thanks to us Zulia people, Venezuela is more fun and incredible.

THIRD SCENE: Farewell

Jariana: Thank you very much to our colleagues who told us a bit about the wonders of Venezuela,
but we have reached the end of our program.
Mariangel: That's right, don't forget to interact with us through our social media @noticiasbelen or
@viajandoporelmundo.tv. [@noticiasbelen @viajandoporelmundo.tv]
Jariana: It was a pleasure for us, we say goodbye to this program...
