Plug the USB dongle into workstation computer(desktop/laptop) that you need to install DX-
R on. It is highly suggested to create a local Drive D for using as image archive path, and the
drive should be large enough.

You can find the


serial number on
the dongle

Find the folder DX-R_7.0 in the dongle and copy it to workstation local dive first.
Software Installation
Open the CareRay folder which is under DX-R_7.0, and run install program.

Double click to start

Click <Next> to continue.

If ‘standard’ selected, main program


will be installed in driver C:/ and
image archive path goes to driver D:/.
If you choosing the ‘expert’, you can
select the drive other than D:/ to be
the archive path.

then click <next> to continue.

It is not suggested adding ‘CareRay DX-R’ to system startup, please tick off it and click <Install>.

Select H2 database archive path and click <Install>.

Ignore the popped-up License manager window, and then click <Install> on main installation
interface.

Select “No, I will restart the computer later” and click <Finish> to complete the installation.
License Operation
License is the authorization of the DX-R, and it has to be imported to the dongle for DX-R
to recognition.
There are two kinds of license for DX-R, temporary license and permanent license.

Permanent license is the no time limited authorization of the DX-R. You need to pay for
license first. Then we will send you a dongle with the purchased detector together.
Our sales department will send the license file to you by mail when you get the dongle.
To avoid the loss of license missing, we always ask all of our customers to insert the
license once they receiving the dongle.

Temporary license is the time limit authorization of the DX-R, it is usually used for testing
or temporary trial of the hospital.
You can contact our sales department to get it.
License Operation

Go to directory C:\dicomPACS\ORLicense
Find and open the ‘ORLicenseManager’ to operate the license of dongle.
Insert license
Click the <Insert License Key>.
Insert license
Click <File> on popped-up window to insert license key.
Find the license file which was receiving from us for this dongle and then click <Open>.

Click <Insert License Keys>.

Click <Insert License Keys> to finish the insert and close all license manager relevant Windows.
Software Configuration

We have completed all the preparatory of DX-R, now we are going to make some configurations
to make it work with our panel.

To let the software connect the detector, we need to set the IP of the local wired/wireless
adaptor(connects the detector) to 192.168.68.100/255.255.255.0.

Go to the directory C:\dicomPACS\console\CareView, then open ‘cfg.properties’


with notepad. Set the value of ‘checkLocalRfitExit’ to 0, then click <Save> when you
close this file.

Click DX-R’s shortcut which is on the desktop to open it.

User name: admin


Password: setup

Input the username “admin” and password “setup”, then click <Login>.

Select the corresponding detector model in the pull-down list, if the model is not included
here, you can select ‘other’ for it. And then select and proper sync mode, etc…

Make sure the ‘Sensor’ which is under the Single Workstation is ‘CareView’ too.

After these changes made, you need to click the upper-right DX-R logo, then it will pops-up a small
window. You have to select <Yes, close application.> to close DX-R and let changes take effect.
