Dear MURIUNGI,
Following your application and subsequent placement at Chuka University for undergraduate studies, we are
pleased to inform you that you have been offered admission for a degree in Bachelor of Education (Arts) in the
FACULTY OF EDUCATION AND RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT.
The programme is designed to take 4 Academic Years and will be offered at Chuka University. You will be
required to register online and report for verification of documents on 4th September 2023. The first semester of
Academic year 2023/2024 will commence with a one week orientation (compulsory) and then classes will begin
on 11th September, 2023.
You are eligble for a Government Scholarship, Loan and Bursary to assist with your education expenses. If you
need government financial support, you MUST make an application for consideration through official website
www.hef.co.ke not later than 27th August, 2023. In the case the government scholarship, loan and bursary do
not cover the entire cost of your programme, the deficit will be met by your parent or guardian.
Your registration as a student of Chuka University shall be subject to the following conditions:
1. Verification of your qualifications by the university. You must, therefore, present the originals of the following
documents: KCSE/KCE/KACE results slip or certificate, school leaving certificate, diploma transcripts and
certificates, and the national ID at your first registration.
2. Accept to adhere to all University Rules and Regulations governing Students Conduct by signing a
declaration form online.
3.The fees for your programme is : 183,300.00 per year broken down as follows;
a) Tution fee of Ksh. 165,300.00 per year (or Ksh. 82,800.00 per semester)
b) Statutory Fees of Kshs.18,000.00 (payable at the beginning of each academic year). Your total fees
payable for semester 1 is Ksh 100,800.00, semester 2 is 82,500.00 and semester 3 is 0.00.
The fees should be paid through the bank account indicated below;

You are advised to bring the bank pay in slip to the University Finance Officer for receipting. No cash payment
would be made at the University.
For accomodation, Please visit Chuka University website(www.chuka.ac.ke) hostel page and follow
guidelines for online hostel booking. The University has accomodation facilities that are offered on a first-
come first-served basis. Arrangements and payment for accomodation is made separately after you confirm
your hostel booking. You will also be required to make own arrangements to meet your susbsistence
expenses.
If you accept the admission offer under these conditions, please download and complete the forms
appropriately i.e. Letter of Acceptance (CU/ADM/FORM/2A), Personal Details (CU/ADM/FORM/1) and Letter
of Deferment (CU/ADM/FORM/3) where applicable. You are required to undertake Medical Examination
using form CU/ADM/FORM/4. Your parent or guardian must complete form CU/ADM/FORM/2B if you are
below 18 years of age. You are also required to fill student bond of good conduct and consent form and then
submit the completed forms to the University when you report for registration.
In case you opt to defer your studies, please complete form CU/ADM/FORM/3 and submit it to the Registrar
(Academic Affairs) Chuka University, P.O. Box 109-60400, Chuka.
