Trash or solid waste is one of the major contributors in water pollution. It is often transported by rainwater
runoff and illegally-dumped directly into a waterbody or wetland, or deposited along riverbanks or creeks.
Rainwater can pick up debris, chemicals, dirt, and other pollutants into a sewer system or directly to a lake,
stream, river, or coastal water, or creeks, which results to water pollution. Hence, we see to it that we
clean-up the canals and drainages, and the best time to do this is before the rain falls, to prevent the
clogging of the drains when rainy day comes.
