Career Development Cell of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya is extremely delighted to share the
exceptional final placement achievement for the MBA Batch 2021-23. Once again, we have surpassed industry expectations,
cementing our position as a budding leader in management education.
For a graduating batch of 207 students, the Institute witnessed active participation from 84 esteemed companies spanning
across diverse sectors like BFSI, FMCG, ITES & Analytics, Manufacturing & Logistics, eCommerce, and Education at large. The
highest domestic package offered to the batch stood at INR 48.58 LPA registering a growth of 104% vis a vis the previous batch.
Similarly, the Institute registered exceptional growth in its median and average domestic packages, which stood at 16.00 LPA
and 14.96 LPA, recording a stupendous growth of 37% and 25%, respectively, YoY.
The BFSI sector emerged as the largest employer in line with a rising domestic economy, extending close to 50 percent of the
total offers. The major banks, insurance firms, and fintech firms such as Axis Bank, BNY Mellon, HDFC Bank, HSBC Bank, ICICI
Bank, ICICI Securities, ICICI Prudential, IDBI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, SBI Capital, Fincare SFB, Spice Money, and Yes Bank
participated in the final placement process, extending 96 offers to the graduating batch.
BFSI was followed by Consulting, IT & Analytics firms extending 47 offers altogether. The major recruiters in the Consulting and
Analytics space were Deloitte US, Tiger Analytics, Kantar Analytics Practice, Kore.ai Software, Factspan Analytics, Brillio, CRISIL,
and Accelalpha. The major IT & Services players included the likes of Sutherland Global, Bharti Airtel, Cognizant Technology
Solutions, Trinamix Inc, HCL Tech, iQuanti India, Infosys BPM, Zycus, Adobe Inc., Affinity, DemandFarm, Park+, to name a few. In
line with the substantial post-pandemic demand revival, sectors like metals & mining, manufacturing, logistics, and automotive
were next in the queue offering more than 30 opportunities. The notable names were Adani Group, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel
India, Hindalco Industries Limited, Mercedes-Benz, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, Ultratech Cement, Maruti
Suzuki India Limited, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Limited, Porter and DTDC. The Institute also witnessed decent
participation from e-commerce, FMCG, and market research firms like Amazon India, Bluestone, Haldirams, Reliance Retail, and
MoEngage.
To ensure the accuracy and reliability of Placement Reports, the Institute has introduced auditing of Placement Reports since
last year. This initiative aims to empower aspiring professionals and students, enabling them to make well-informed decisions
while considering IIM Bodh Gaya as their preferred destination.
