The low pass filter is represented by the following figure: (R =330 & C = 100 nF)
1. Realize this filter (Vin obtained from the function generator and Vo displayed on the oscilloscope).

Suppose the black box is a filter. If you don’t know the type and the cut-off frequency of this filter. Just
do the following steps:
1. Connect a function generator on the input of the filter and an oscilloscope on the output of the filter.
2. Vary the frequency of the input signal and verify the value of the output signal.
If Vout = 0.7*Vin, stop varying the frequency. This frequency is the cut-of frequency.
3. To determine the type of the filter:
a. If Vout equals Vin when the frequency is less than the cut-off frequency: LPF Filter
b. If Vout equals Vin when the frequency is greater than the cut-off frequency: HPF Filter
4. To determine the order of the filter: if at f = 10*fc
a. Vout = 1/10 vin =0.1 20 log (Vo/ Vi) = -20 dB, order 1
b. Vout =1/100 vin 20 log (Vo/ Vi) = - 40 dB order 2
c. Vout = 1/1000 =0.001 20 log (Vo/ Vi) = - 60 dB order 3
5. Apply this procedure to the following filter and indicate its type and its cut-off frequency
1. Cut-off frequency, FC =
