• Make sure that the PVT is facing south and define the title angle.
• Turn on the main switch of the collector.
• Fill the PVT with water (water is the circulating fluid).
• Open the valves of the coils inside the boiler so water from the PVT can start flowing.
• Turn on the pump.
• Record the measured temperature and flow rate values to the given table.
• Record the values read by luxmeter.
• Repeat the same procedure for different angles.
Calculations:

Question:
1. Find the thermal capacity and efficiency of the solar collector panel using necessary equations.
2. Draw an angle-thermal capacity curve for the measured values. Also draw an angle-efficiency curve and write
your comment about it.
3. Find the best tilt angle using the relations between angles for the specified location and time, compared it to
the best tilt angle found by the experiment.
4. Write your conclusion.
Experiment 02
examination of the effect of the title angle on PVT’s electrical capacity
Objectives: the objective of this experiment is to observe the change on the measured current and voltage values at
different tilt angles.
Operating instructions and procedure:
• Adjust the tilt angel so that the sun light come with a 90o angle.
• Connect the cables as shown in the figure below.
• Measure the current and voltage of the PVT and record them to the table given below.
• Record the values read by luxmeter.
• Repeat the same procedure for different angles.
