choose.
A: Hey B, have you thought about what we should get for our friend who’s starting his/her first job soon?
A: I was thinking of getting him/her something practical like a nice pen or a planner.
B: That’s a good idea. But I was thinking of something more personal like a book or a piece of jewelry.
A: Hmm, that’s interesting. What kind of book or jewelry were you thinking of?
B: Maybe a motivational book or a classic novel that he/she can read during breaks at work. As for the jewelry, maybe a watch
or a bracelet that he/she can wear to work.
A: Those are great ideas too. I think we should get him/her both the practical and personal gifts. How about we get him/her a
planner and a motivational book?

can go and then say which would be best.
###########
A: Hey, I heard you guys are planning a picnic. That sounds fun! Do you have any ideas on where we should go?
B: Yeah, we're brainstorming some options. I was thinking we could go to the beach. It's always nice to relax by the
ocean, enjoy the sun, and have a swim if we feel like it.
A: That sounds amazing! I love the beach. The only downside is that it might get crowded on the weekends, especially if
the weather is good. We might have trouble finding a good spot.
B: You're right, it can get pretty packed. Okay, how about a local park? We could find a shady area, set up a picnic
blanket, and enjoy the greenery. Plus, if anyone wants to play some frisbee or throw around a football, there would be
plenty of space.
A: I like that idea too! Parks are usually less crowded, and we can still enjoy the outdoors. The only thing is, some parks
might not have the best facilities like clean restrooms or drinkable water. We'll have to check that beforehand.
B: Good point. Okay, what about a nearby hiking trail? It could be a nice change of pace, being surrounded by nature,
going on a little adventure. We could even have a picnic at the peak and enjoy the breathtaking views.
A: I've always wanted to try hiking! That sounds like an exciting idea. The only concern is that not all of our friends might
be up for a hike, especially those who aren't much into physical activities or might have limited mobility.
B: True, not everyone might be up for it. Okay, how about a charming countryside picnic? There are some scenic spots a
bit outside the city, with rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. It could be a perfect backdrop for our gathering.
A: That sounds absolutely idyllic! Everyone could appreciate the serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The
only challenge would be transportation, especially if some people don't have cars. We'll have to figure that out.
B: Yeah, transportation can be tricky. Okay, considering all the options, I think a local park would be the best choice. It
offers the right balance of space, accessibility, and amenities. We can enjoy nature, play games, and have a relaxing day
together.
A: I think you're right. A local park seems like the most practical choice. Let's finalize the plan and inform everyone. I
can't wait for our picnic!
B: Agreed! It's going to be a fantastic day. I'll start spreading the word. Can't wait to see everyone enjoying themselves
at the park.
B: That sounds good. But I was thinking we could also go to the beach.
B: That’s true. What about the lake? It’s not too far away and it’s usually quiet.
A: Hmm, I haven’t been there before. But it sounds like a good idea. Let’s go there then.
