CFGImport
What is CFGImport for ?
CFGImport is software tool for importing InteliSys configuration from your present archive to a new
software version archive.
It is also possible to import configuration between different applications or branches, but you must be
careful about such a import.
The import is working with the archives only (in Off-line mode), not with the connected InteliSys.

CFGImport installation
CFGImport.exe file and additional modules (index files) are automatically installed to selected WinEdit
directory during standard installation of WinEdit: (default is … \Program files\ComAp\WinEdit\ ).

Open archive
Select Archive – Open archive… or click
Hints:
You can select sites directory by selecting Options – Select sites directory…
Select archive you want to import to.
Typically you will select a default archive of new software version or branch.

Select Site, Genset and Archive.

Open alternative archive
Select Alternative Archive – Open alternative archive… or click
Hints:
Select archive you want to import from.
Typically you will select your present configuration for older software version or branch.

Select Site, Genset and Archive.

Comparing configurations
Select Alternative Archive – Show compare window… or click

Hints:
Current configuration is on the top or on the left-hand side.
You can compare configurations both before import and after import.
You can switch between vertical and horizontal arrangement.
Red empty cells show the items that are missing in current configuration.
Red texts show the items that are missing in alternative configuration.
Blue texts show the items that are different in both configurations.
Green texts show the items that are additional in current configuration.

Importing archive
Select Alternative Archive – Import alternative archive or click

After import is done, the window with import log is shown.

Hints:

You can open this window also by clicking on Archive – Show import log ( ).
You can filter log messages (Errors, Warnings, Hints, Details, Process).
Mostly be careful about red lines (Errors) and blue lines (Warnings).
You can save log as a text file.

Modify configuration
Select Archive – Modify configuration… or click
Hints:
You can explore (or modify) configuration in the same way as in WinEdit software.
You can manually complete the import for features that cannot be imported automatically.
You can modify configuration both before import and after import.

Click on Apply changes to confirm changes you have done.
Hint:

If you select Archive – Save archive ( ), your changes are confirmed automatically.

Archive – Save archive


Select Archive – Save archive ( ) to save your changes to selected archive.
Hints:
If you have not selected new archive name yet, you will be asked for it.
If you want to select another archive name, select Archive – Save archive as…

Options – Select sites directory…

Hint:
You can select directory, where the sites are located.
