DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN COMPUTER 4

I. Objective
At the end of a 40 - minutes period, 75 % of the Grade IV pupils are expected to

a. Define what are computer and their uses.


b. Determine the basic parts of the computer.
c. Recognize the importance of knowing the different parts of the computer.

III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities
Prayer
Good morning class, before we will start our class may I request everyone to please
stand up for our prayer. In the name of the father and to son and the holy spirit.
Lord god, thank you for this day. We are sorry for the wrong doings we did, please guide and
protect us on what are going to do. (Amen)

Greetings
Good morning class, how is your day? (Its fine teacher) It is good to hear class. Okay
before you take your seat, please arrange your chair and pick the pieces of the paper.

Class, are you familiar with the song “Watermelon”? (Yes teacher!) Were going to sing the
song but were going to change the lyrics. By using the word computer, monitor, keyboard and
CPU, everybody please try to sing the song. (CO – computer, CO -computer, Monitor, Monitor,
keyboard, keyboard 2x, CPU, CPU.)
One more and make louder and fast. (The student will repeat the song…) Are you familiar
with those words? (Yes ma’am.)

A Computer is an electronic device that makes information as input and gives us output. It has
the ability to store, retrieve and process data.
What is Monitor?
A monitor is used to display the work going on inside the computer.
What is screen?
A monitor of screen is used the area of monitor where pictures or output data displays.
What is CPU?
CPU is the brain of the computer and it is used to store all the information.
What is keyboard?
Keyboard is a set of keys that enables you to enter data into computer. it is the main input
device of the computer.
What is mouse?
A computer mouse is an input device that is used with a computer. Moving a mouse along a
flat surface can move the cursor to different items on the screen.
What is printer?
A Computer printer is a piece of hardware for a computer. It allows user to print items on
paper, such as letter and pictures.
