General Questions
2) Why USA?
USA has maximum resources to teach computer science due to the availability of
updated technology and offers enough research opportunities. Hence, choosing USA as
study destinations sharpens me theoretically as well as practically; so, I’ll be prepared to
deal with real-world applications.
7) Are you planning to work in USA after your graduation for experience?
No, I’m planning to return back to Nepal and gather experiences instead because
exposing into the market where I see my future early will assist me for my career
growth.
8) How much is the total cost of your education including tuition, living expenses
and other cost?
My total annual cost of education is $15560 on which extra $1000-1500
miscellaneous cost might add annually. [Tuition: $4970, Estimated Living Expenses:
7000, Health insurance and books: $3590]
12) What will you do in your spare time while studying in US?
I am planning to participate in a University Student’s Forum during my spare time
and except that I’ve interest to learn to play Base Ball as well; so, if I get opportunity I’ll
definitely not miss it.
13) Are you planning to apply for optional practical training or curricular practical
training?

14) What ties do you have to your home country that will ensure your return after
completing your studies?
I see a lot of scope for tech professionals here in Nepal. I’m interested to do business
in Nepali market after a few years by opening my own IT firm. And, it is not a difficult
task for me to analyze Nepali market because I was born and grew up here and I can
understand the psychology of people over here. Moreover, all my family and friends
resides in Nepal.
18) What do you know about the state you are going to?
New Jersey is famous for its nice beaches, busy roads, yummy food and different
cultures. It gets cold with snow in winter and warm with humidity in summer.
6) What do you know about the faculty of Computer Science in this university?
The CS faculty has very intellectual panel of professors. I’ve read journals published
by some of them. I was really impressed by the professor Vlad Veksler. He is a Rutgers
graduate and has many researches published on Cyber Security such as Network
privacy, Data Security which perfectly aligns with what I want to learn.
7) How many universities have you applied to and how have you short listed them?
I’ve applied to other three universities. [EIU, MSSU, McNeese, CDU] (2 accepted, 2
pending); [reference on no. 5]
10) Do you plan to pursue additional education in the US after completing your current
program?
No officer, after completion of my studies I’m planning to return back to Nepal and
work for few years. After few years of experience, I will acquire the rest of my education
according to the expertise I feel I lack in my field of work.
11) Why this university? Why this course? (if asked at once)
I want to become a cyber security analyst and this university offers a dedicated
career track for cyber security with latest subjects like Cyber Security Defense and
Compliance. While this major elevates technical knowledge like cryptography, Network
security which a Cyber Security Analyst must have.
1) When did you pass out and what were you doing since then?
I’ve graduated in August, 2023 after that I was preparing for IELTS and SAT. Also,
I’ve travelled few places in Nepal and in rest of the time I learned C programming
language primarily.
3) How did you prepare for the IELTS, SAT or any other test?
I prepared for IELTS and SAT on my own watching YouTube videos. [IELTS:

7) What is your academic background?
I’ve just completed my high school with major subjects like Physics, Math, Chemistry
and Computer Science. I scored 3.60 GPA on a scale of 4. I want to further specialize in
Computer science.
