2. This assignment is a continouation of part A. should be done with the same group members in
assignment ONE.
3. Deadline 15th June 2024 000hrs. Any work submitted thereafter marked out of 80%.
4. Any work submitted with group members less than 9 or more than 10 will be marked out of
80%

PART B. 80 Marks
Project / Website
This assignment should be done using the case study assigned to you from your Internet and web
Technologies or software engineering. You must redesign and maintain a website documenting your
project. Your site should tell a story of your project’s development in a clear and compelling manner. Do
not assume any prior knowledge of your project. Your website should be easily understood by anyone
regardless of the skills and knowledge. Ideally, this website will be a tool that you can use to communicate
your design and prototyping skills to potential employers/client. . You do not need to incorporate flashy
interactive behaviours, or functional requirements must not necessary work but your website interfaces
should be responsive, logically structured, and aesthetically appealing to convince the employers. Adhere
to the design principle norms

Below is a list of assignments that must be included on your site (including prototypes, report of
evaluations (screenshot before and after, and poster for your system):
i. User, System and usability requirement identified and listed (Assignment#1)
ii. Low to medium fidelity Prototypes (Assignment#2)
iii. Hi-fidelity Prototype (Assignment#3)
iv. Group Heuristic Evaluation results (Assignment#4–attach link to the report of evaluation)
v. Poster of your project (Assignment#5)

Templates and Examples


You are free to use any website templates you find it easier and you are not obligated to develop your
own website from scratch.Whether you develop your own site or use a template will not change or
affect the assessment. Below are some examples of websites for your reference to such works that is
expected from from the group:

1. How to do it: Approach


Within the group, form sub groups and assign roles. The following roles should be assigned to sub
group by the group:
• Project Manager (coordination and scheduling of tasks)
• Presenter (create presentation and present it)
• Evaluator (perform evaluation and document evaluation)
• Coder (code the medium fidelity prototype)

• Designer (design low fidelity prototype, redesign medium fidelity prototype)
• Researcher (research other similar systems)

GradingCriteria (80 Points)
Below is the grading criteria for the web site (80 Points total):
1. Cover page
i. Is your project title shown?
ii. Programme enrolled
iii. Team members roles and their description (Reg No, Surname and initials) and their roles
listed on the website?
2. Introduction – This is expected in the HOME page. (20 Points)
i. Is your project title shown?
ii. Programme enrolled
iii. Team members roles and their description (Reg No, Surname and initials) and their roles
listed on the website?
iv. Is there a brief description of functional and usability requirement of your project?
v. Is there a short, compelling description of your project ie user of your system?(2-3
sentences)
● Professional and Aesthetic Design (30 Points)
i. Is there a logo and clear product branding on the website?
ii. Is the design of the site usable?
iii. Is the site aesthetically appealing?
iv. Is the writing free from spelling,grammar,and language errors?
3. Implementation of the designing processes and evaluation of the final system (30 Points)

The report should be in pdf format. It should briefly describe the project
Content of the report
• Executive summary (max. 2 paragraphs)
• Chapter 1 Introduction

i. Overview of the system (introduction max. 2 paragraphs)
ii. What are the functional requirements?
iii. What are the non-functional requirements?
iv. What are the usability requirements for the system? (detailed explanations)
v. User group, interaction style, input/output devices with justification
• Chapter 2. Designing
i. Designing of the system using low fidelity. All function requirement shown
ii. Discussion of low fidelity prototypes (screenshots)
iii. Method used of Evaluation and results of evaluation of low fidelity prototype
(screenshots)
iv. Discussion of medium fidelity prototype (screenshots)
v. Results of evaluation of medium fidelity prototype (screenshots)
• Chapter 3. Implementation of the website/system
i. Presentation of high fidelity prototypes (all the pages of the website/system)
ii. With detailed explanations of the screenshots
• Chapter 4. Conclusion and recommendation
iii. Focus on the designing issues related to the user interface, technologies, users etc
experienced during the entire process

Note: An Executive Summary is a brief discussion of the total project, used to inform the reader of key
issues without the reader needing to read the whole document (ideal for managers).
An Overview of the System describes the system itself and not the total project.
