By the end of this lesson, students will be trained to:
Targeted - Recognize and use the past continuous appropriately. T draws a man on the board sipping coffee; eliciting from Competencies students what the time is. T writes the time on the board and Eliciting and Presentation asks students what the man is doing at that time. T elicits prompting 25 min sentences in the present continuous. Ex: He is sipping students to coffee; He is watching his cat …. answer; T asks students which tense is used now. Trying to elicit the present cont. T-------SS T makes some changes in the time and asks students if it was Studying a yesterday at the same time, what would you say? trying to situation elicit sentences like (he was drinking coffee….) (grammar in T elicits sentences from the situation drawn on the board; context) trying to elicit a sentence for each use of the past Cont. 1. Temporary actions in progress in the past (long T-------SS actions) ex: he is sipping coffee. 2.
