1. INTRODUCTION – GENERAL INFORMATION


1.1. PURPOSE AND PRESENTATION OF THE MANUALS
The instructions that come with the machine were written by the machine manufacturer.
Following these instructions constantly contributes to a safe use of the machine and a long life span.
Failure to follow the instructions, can cause damage to the machine, physical injuries to people and even
death.
The contents of these instructions should be known and totally understood by the following persons:

• user Failure to follow these instructions releases the manufacturer


• maintenance staff from responsibility in the case of physical injuries or other
• laundry room manager damage.

All those who work with the machine must have carefully read and understood these instructions
!

Important information!

BEFORE FIRST USE !

• Before first use remove transport safety-devices, otherwise some serious damage could be
done if the machine is started while still blocked.
• Do not put the machine in the room where the temperature could drop under 0°C, because
the water installation could be damaged.
• Washing machine must stand horizontally and stable on firm floor anchored according to
instructions, so it does not vibrate during the centrifuge.
• Mind the instructions for the correct placing and connection of the machine on water and
electric network.
• Use only means for machine washing and linen care.
• We are not responsible for eventual damage and colouring which may be the result of
incorrect use of means for bleaching.
• You must not use cleaning means with solvents, because the washers may be damaged
and toxic gases may arise (danger of fire).
• Door cannot be opened while the machine is working. You can open them cca. two minutes
after the programme has ended.
• Before turning on the machine check if the transport safety-devices are removed.

SAFETY TIPS
Do not ignore safety tips under any circumstances, because serious physical injuries may be caused, the
machine may operate incorrectly and consequently the machine and the linen could be damaged.
In order to minimize the possibility of fires, electric shocks, physical injuries, trouble with the machine and
damaged linen in washing, we request you to strictly follow these basic safety instructions.

Operating the machine in explosive threatened zones is prohibited.

USE OF SPECIAL TYPE OF WASHING AND CHEMICAL PRODUCTS


Parts of the machine which are in contact with the linen (inside and outside drum, dosing box, connection
for liquid dosing,…) are made from steel with quality W.Nr.1.4301. Seals are made from VITON and
SILIKON. Water installation pipes are made from PVC.
If you want to use special or different types of washing and chemical products, then you must mention
this when ordering the machine.

Failure to follow the warnings mentioned releases the manufacturer


from any responsibility for damage to the machine parts and
installations.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND ADVICE FOR SAFETY USE AND MAINTENANCE

• It is forbidden for children to use the machine and be anywhere near by.
• Machine must be only operated by trained, authorized personnel.
• Always read the machine manufacturer’s instructions and those from the producer of
washing and cleaning products and pay attention to warnings and precautionary steps.
• Keep the detergents, cleaning and disinfecting products away from children.
• The area around the machine must be clean and free from any inflammable materials.
• Open the water valves; steam and compressed air before washing and turn the main switch
on to connect the machine to the electric supply.
• The linen must be weighed and sorted before placing it in the machine.
• Do not put fabrics which have been cleaned with inflammable cleaners into the machine
before they are thoroughly dried in the open air and before they are manually washed and
the remains of the cleaning products are removed.
• Always follow the instructions from the clothes manufacturers about handling the fabrics.
• The door of the machine must be fully closed after filling.
• Do not put your hand in the machine and do not open the door while the drum is still
spinning. The covers of the machine must always be on while the machine is working and
the rotating parts of the machine must be protected.
• If the machine brakes down while working, push the red STOP button (for emergency cut
out) and disconnect the power and steam supply with the main switch.
• Do not repair or replace parts of the machine. Qualified personnel must carry out all forms of
servicing and programming.
• The manufacturer will not recognize any expenses which may arise during the warranty
period, if caused by replacements or by modifying the washing program without the written

Relative humidity in the room (max.): 85% (it must not to condense)
Temperature of surroundings/storage: +5°C do +40°C

1.2. MACHINE DESCRIPTION


The washer extractor PCH-25, 35, 45 is designed for hospitals, hotels, motels, dry-cleaners and other
institutions for washing all kinds of fabrics no matter how dirty.

Its distinguishing features are:


• easy and safe use
• fully automatic washing
• inner drum speed between 45 and 900 min¹
• linen humidity after spinning only 45 – 48 %
• built-in switch against over-oscillation
• door safety protection against opening when functioning
• alarm buzzer to signal end of washing program
• pneumatic braking

The life span of the washing machine in a correctly functioning laundry room with the right use is 10
years. In this period the manufacturer guarantees that he will supply the customer with all spare parts
services.

1.2.1. Pneumatic braking


Configuration and function

The brake calliper is used as a stopping brake and a parking brake.


Braking force is generated by a spring (see Figure “A”/pos.16). It is released (opened) pneumatically
width compressed air. If brake pads (see Figure “B”/pos.3) are worn, braking and holding force is
diminished, as the tension in the spring (pos.16) is reduced.
If brake pads are worn, brake pad wear must be checked and braking force adjusted (see section 5.3.10).
Rotating parts must be secured by the user against inadvertent contact (e.g. brake disc).

2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

2.1. DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE


The washer extractor is a modern and high quality machine, which guarantees the best results in washing
and has a built-in microprocessor and programs.
The possibility to choose the program according to the type of linen and how dirty it is and to elaborate
any program ensures that this machine will satisfy even the most demanding of users.
The life span of the washing machine in a correctly functioning laundry room and with the correct use is
10 years.
In this period, the manufacturer guarantees to supply the customer with all spare parts and services.

It is forbidden to use the machine for any other uses or for washing
any other non-textile materials unless written permission is
obtained from the manufacturer.

2.2. PACKAGING
The machine is protected with packaging that protects machine during transportation and between the
process of storage.

Standard packaging of the machine is composed from:

• wooden pallet, which has been processed respectively protected under current regulations
(fumigating)
• protective plastic bag
• cardboard corner that protect the edges on the upper side of the machine
• additional stretch foil on the bottom of the machine

2.3. STORAGE

The machine must only be stored in a closed, dry place, at temperatures above
the freezing point of water so that any water in the installations is prevented
from freezing.
We recommend storing the machine on its original pallet, so that it is raised off
the ground and covered with a plastic sheeting.

2.4. MACHINE TRANSPORT


Machine can transport A B C
on three different ways:

A. by road (with truck);


B. by railway
C. by see

Depending on the type of transport, the machine can be placed in a wooden box, protected with a
waterproof and thermally protected foil or mounted on a wooden palette at which it is attached to the
mounting screws and covered with cardboard or PVC protective packaging that is resistant to moisture.

2.5. MACHINE SETTING UP

Manipulation of the lifting and shifting of the machine is


allowed only to qualified persons!

Depending on the weight lifting machine shall be permitted with:

Keeping back under lifted cargo is strictly


forbidden!

Prepare the place according to the enclosed plan (see


dimension scheme and ground plane), which are added
to the technical documentation of the machine.
The space around the foundation is scheduled to
600 mm
1000 mm perform maintenance on the machine.
At selecting the location where the machine set, be sure
to observe that it remains defined distance between the
machine and the ceiling space and distance to an
adjacent machine.

2.5.1. Setting up the machine – Standard version


1) Bring the machine to the location with the appropriate forklift, and place it on the floor space.
2) Unscrew four screws with which the machine attached to a wooden pallet.
3) The machine then lifted by means of pallet forklift.
4) Remove the two wooden palette and the machine equally leave to ground level.

2.6. ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT


Every machine is equipped with additional equipment, which varies depending of the type of machine.
Additional equipment is used for anchoring, tightness, ventilating, connecting, drainage shaft closing and
machine housing protective covers removing.

List of additional equipment:

- Complete for machine anchoring (EPOXI, HILTI)


- Rubber profile for machine tightness - OPTIONAL! (must be ordered when ordering the machine)
- Water, steam and air connection pipes
- Outlet shaft cover
- Keys for opening the lock of machine housing protecting covers
- Attachment for connection of liquid dosing - OPTIONAL! (must be ordered when ordering the machine)

2.7. ANCHORING OF THE MACHINE


Standard version of the machine

Using a drill make holes Ø12mm to a depth of 120mm through holes on base frame (see Figure No.2)
envisaged for anchoring (those are the same holes through which the machine is attached to the pallet).
Use compressed air to blow the dust out. Put the anchor bolts TSA M12x180mm into the prepared holes
(see Figure No.1/pos.1) and fasten it with using of nuts, washers and plattes (see Figure No.1/pos. 2,3
and 4.
Start the installation.

Use the plates with which the machine is bolted to a


pallet.

To drill a hole Ø12mm depth 120mm.

2.8. REMOVING THE TRANSPORT SAFETY STOPS (BLOCKADES)

The moving parts of the machine are blocked with transport safety stops
(blockades), which are positioned under the panels of the machine behind
the air springs and protect the machine during transport.
Transport safety stops (blockades) protect machine against damage in
transit.
They can be removed by unscrewing the screws. Store them in a known
place, because you will need to transport the machine to a new location or
recycling.

Never move or lift the machine (service, cartage) without previously


fixing of the safety stops (blockades).

2.9. CONNECTING THE MACHINE ON INSTALLATIONS

2.9.1. Terminal for the connection to the external protective earth system

For potential equalization with the potential of protective conductor on the machine, is located screw, for
connecting conductor, which is necessary to bring on the machine. This should be carried out before a
test drive of the machine. Carry out by a qualified person.
To find a screw you have to remove the protective covers of the machine and find a sticker with the
symbol (see picture with the logo displayed).

Following table shows minimum cross-sectional of protective conductors:

2.9.2. Connecting of electric cable

The electrical cable must be connected by a qualified person in


conformity with the valid regulations and distribution instructions
regarding the mains 3N AC 50Hz 400 V.

* .... Mains voltage could be on the client's wishes different if this is agreed upon the order of the machine
(for example: 3 AC 230V 50Hz).

To disconnect the machine from the mains network, a switch must be


installed in the electrical cabin. It must have a 3 mm gap between the
contacts and must be set on the off position.

By machine version with steam heating system has to be placed from the main power switch to the
machine control panel cable with dimensions 5x2,5mm², which must be protected from mechanical
damage! The size of the rated current of fuse, which is located in the control panel is 40A.

By machine version with electric or combined steam heating system has to be placed from the main
power switch to the machine control panel cable with dimensions 5x10mm², which must be protected
from mechanical damage! The size of the rated current of fuse, which is located in the control panel is
50A.

PCH - 45

By machine version with steam heating system has to be placed from the main power switch to the
machine control panel cable with dimensions 5x4mm², which must be protected from mechanical
damage! The size of the rated current of fuse, which is located in the control panel is 25A.

By machine version with electric or combined steam heating system has to be placed from the main
power switch to the machine control panel cable with dimensions 5x16mm², which must be protected
from mechanical damage! The size of the rated current of fuse, which is located in the control panel is
80A.

All the material (cable, electrical cabin with cut-out, main switch etc.)
that is needed to connect the machine to the electrical mains, and is
installed by the machine user, must be in conformity with valid norms
in the country of use.

2.9.3. Water connection

• WARM WATER

• *…OPTION – Possibility of additional influx of WARM WATER (WRS-Water Recycling System)

It is obligatory to build in water filters on inlet installation and movable tubes, which prevent the tremor
transfer over on to inlet installation. For untroubled working of the machine must be water pressure in the
installations between 2-6 bars. For higher pressure is required to install a reducing valve.

2.9.4. Steam connection


Steam connection must be carried out with a movable tube, which is originally enclosed with the machine.
The investor must build in manual stop valve and dirtiness catcher on conduct. The recommendable
pressure of steam for high pressure type of the machine is 6–10 bar and for low pressure type of the
machine is between 0,3 – 0,5 bar.

2.9.5. Air connection


Machine needs for working technical air with pressure 6–10 bars. Air must be clean and dry. Customer
must to build on the conduit pipe closing valve. Dimensions of the conduit connection must be 10x1 mm.
The set pressure should be 7–8 bars.

2.10. MACHINE VENTILATION OUTLET


Connect the ventilation outlet according to the enclosed ground plane, which is added to the technical
documentation of the machine. The ventilation is on the top side of the machine and must not be closed.
Ventilation is carried out freely with suitable tubes.

2.11. UNBLOCKING THE MACHINE

The transport safety stops, which are inside the machine must be
removed before the test run. The transport safety stops can be reached
after removing the front and rear lower machine covers, and are
intended to ensure that the movable parts of the machine travel safely.

2.12. TEST RUN


The test run of the machine must be carried out by a person authorized by the manufacturer of the
machine.

This is necessary to:

• Check that the connection and the position of the machine are right
• Check the direction of drum rotation
• Check that the inner parts of the machine are clean
• Check all machine functions
• Check and set the level of the water in the machine
• Instruct laundry personnel
• Check direction of rotation of the engine cooling fan

If a KREBE TIPPO authorized person is not present at the first test wash
any expenses arising during the warranty period will not be recognised.
Detailed instructions are described in the warranty booklet.

The test run has to be done without linen with program for heavily soiled linen. At that procedure you
have to consider instructions from manuals. When the test run without linen is ended you have to done
some more washings to immediately eliminate any irregularities in the functioning of the machine.

2.13. REMOVAL FROM USE AND DESTROYING THE MACHINE

The washing machine is made from recyclable materials.


When the machine is no longer of use, hand it over to
the authorized waste machine collection centres; they
will dismantle it into its component parts which are
recyclable and they will dispose of them in suitable
landfills.

When disposing, respect local regulations referring to waste materials.

3.1. OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR OF THE INNER DRUM

3.1.1. Opening the door of the inner drum

Door handle Safety-device

You can open it by holding the door handle. Push the safety device
with your thumb and pull the handle in your direction. By doing this you
release the door lock. Then pull the door in your direction while still
holding the handle.

3.1.2. Closing the door of the inner drum

Push the door into the closed position. Push the handle into the locked
position, so that it clicks. By pulling the handle in your direction, you
can check if the door is actually properly closed.

3.2. PREPARATION AND SORTING OF LINEN

Before filling check


the linen, close the
zippers,
Bandage the laces
and empty the
pockets.

Sort the linen by:

• Structure (cotton, wool, synthetic, …)

Textile products carry a label, on which a type of a fabrication is written and with symbols the temperature
and the washing mode is labelled. With help of these signs the most appropriate way of washing can be
chosen and in this way you can avoid damaging the linen.

• The degree of dirtiness (more dirty, less dirty)

More dirty laundry must be washed in smaller quantity from the usual filling. Smear obstinate stains with
special washing agent before washing. Use the programme without pre-washing and the programme with
lower temperature when dealing with less dirty linen.

• Colours (white, coloured)

Choose the suitable washing temperature considering the colour subsistence.

• Sensitivity (normal washing, sensitive washing).

3.3. FILLING THE DRUM


• Fill individual compartments of the machine equally with dry linen.
• The maximum tolerance allowed when filling the compartment with linen is 5%.
• Make sure you fill the machine with the same type of fabric and do not mix terrycloth with other
fabrics. Smooth running when spin drying depends on the correct filling of the machine and also
affects the life span of the machine.
• When filling each compartment, make sure that the door of the inner drum is shut and the handle
clicks, then lower the outer door and push button DRUM POSITIONING (see Figure Nr.
3.8./button S4), so that it slowly spins into position ready to fill the next compartment.
• When the drum stops, lift the machine outer door, release the handle of the inner drum door,
open it, fill the empty compartment and close the door correctly.
• Carry out the positioning procedure and drum filling until all the compartments are properly filled.
• When you have finished filling, lower the machine outer door.

3.4. SETTING UP OF INDUCTIVE SENSOR OF AUTOMATIC

Recommended distance between the tip of an inductive sensor (see Figure Nr.3/pos.1) and rotating plate
(see Figure Nr.3/pos.2) is 2mm (see figure Nr.6). Greater or smaller distance between this two mentioned
components can cause malfunction of the machine.
You can set the distance by removing the nut from the outside (see Figure Nr.4/pos.3) and nut from the
inside (see Figure Nr.5/pos.4) the carrier of automatic positioning (see Figure Nr.3/pos.3) and then screw
or unscrew inductive sensor until you set the recommended range.
After the adjustment once again screw the nut on the outside of the carrier (nut on the inside side of the
carrier after the final tuning range stays in its place).

3.5. DOSING OF THE WASHING DETERGENT

We recommend water softeners when the water is hard.


When adding the water softeners follow the manufacturers’
instructions.

The amount of washing powder depends on manufacturer of washing


means. Use only powders for machine washing, because they don't
foam. We recommend use of special washing means for sensitive
linen washing.

It is possible to equip the machine, so that it automatically

3.6. LIQUID DETERGENT

Connection of liquid apportionment of different systems and manufacturers is


enabled by machine and juddering, for which the agreement from the manufacturer is
necessary at machine purchase.
Connection of liquid apportionment is not in the standard equipment of the machine
and is necessary to order them.
On the picture is showed 5 connections on which are possible to connect liquid
dosing system.
Outside parameter of connection is 8mm.

Too much of washing powder can cause: Not enough of washing powder can cause:

• severe foaming • linen greying


• weaker mechanics and from this, • appearance of small greasy lumps
weaker effect • disposal of water stone in the
• poor washing-out machine and on linen

3.7. WATER SAMPLING (OPTION)

On the specific request of the client, on the machine can be installed a system for water sampling for
what is to be agreed with the manufacturer at the machine buy.
The customer takes water samples for chemical analysis with use of integrated tap (see Figure Nr.6 and
7) during the washing procedure.

3.8. END OF PROGRAM AND MACHINE EMPTYING

If the drum of the machine is still rotating, wait until it stops.


Do not put your hand into drum if it is still spinning!

When the washing is ended the sound signal on the clean side of
the machine is heard (H2). While beeping, the inner drum
automatically spins into position for emptying.
If this does not happen for any reason, press the
S4-POSITIONING - button for re-positioning.

By pressing the S5-EMPTYING FINISHED button you signal to
the dirty side that emptying has been finished (on the opposite
side, the drum automatically spins into position for filling with
linen and the yellow signal light comes on.

3.9. END OF WASHING

• All manual inlet valves for letting in the water, steam and air need to be closed every day after the
washing procedure has been finished.

• The machine must be disconnected from the main electrical network using the main switch.

• The door of the machine must remain open until the machine is used again.

3.10. IMPORTANT WARNINGS

• The positioning of the drum is only possible if the machine outer doors and doors of the inner
drum are closed.

• It is only possible to open the door on the clean side when the green signal light H3 is on.

• When the signal lights are on, it means that the conditions for activating the individual
functions are fulfilled; these are marked with labels above the buttons.

• You can empty the drum after having finished washing and after the sound signal.
When this has finished the conditions for re-filling are re-established by pressing the S5-
EMPTYING FINISHED button.

• To shut-down the machine instantly presses the STOP button. Use it only in an
emergency, when the machine is broken or if there is some other danger.

4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

For safe operation of the machine and efficient washed linen is


obligatory to adhere to those instructions in this chapter.

4.1. MANUAL CONTROL ELEMENTS DESCRIPTION


In front of the machine, beside electronic controller is located still the red STOP button to turn off the
machine in the emergency, button for filling machine with additional water, switch to select heating
(optional) and the main switch to turn off the machine.

Button for filling machine with additional water and switch to select heating can be located also at the side
wall of the machine (depending on the configuration of the machine).

4.1.1. STOP button for emergency stopping the machine

If you press the STOP button (red on a yellow background), you will cut-off the
supply of electricity to the machine. All working functions will immediately stop.
The button is used in cases when you notice dangerous situations (e.g. loud
noise when spinning, drum excessively out-of-balance when spinning or some
other abnormality. Then the program is interrupted, the alarm buzzer rings and
a warning of a problem in the working of the machine is given.

Do not use in normal operating of the machine!

To be sure that there has not been just a short duration abnormality or interruption of the working of the
frequency converter, press the red button and wait at least one or two minutes. In that time period the
frequency converter will be reset. Then turn the red button anti-clockwise and release it. After which
proceed as for a normal power failure.

4.1.2. Button for running water into the machine


With this button it is possible to rinse the detergent box or just run in cold water should you want to
increase the water level in the machine.

4.1.3. E-S Converting switch for selecting type of heating (optional)

Machines that are ordered with combined heating (steam and electric heaters), also
have a converter switch, with E-S written on, built in.
If the switch is in position E, then the electrical heating is selected and if the switch is in
position S, then the steam heating is selected.
The switch can also be used while the machine is working.

At the cutting off frequency converter protections is necessary turn off


the machine with red STOP key on the front side of the machine!
Machine could be turned on after two minutes.
This time period is needed that frequency converter will certainly be
reset. In contrary situation could come to damage on appliance.

4.2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER


For a more detailed description of the management of electronic controllers, see instructions “Managing a
microprocessor”, which are added to the technical documentation of the machine.

4.3. HOW TO OPEN THE DOOR IN CASE OF ELECTRIC FALL-OUT

Before doing any kind of work on the machine, always turn off the
main switch, close the water inlet and steam inlet on the machine
and secure the machine from interference of the 3rd person!

Take down the right side cover of casing to access the
pneumatic divide. Insert the screwdriver into slot on
upper side of divide and spin it extremely to the right
(Y14-door on the soiled side, Y15-door on the clean
side). With this act you are close air supply and release
the machine door. It is also necessary to release brake
(Y12). Before opening the door, check across door
glass, if the water is drain out and if the drum is stopped.
Now you can open the door and manually rotate drum to
position for machine emptying. Before emptying, check if
the drum is not hot.
Pneumatic assembly is composed from 8 solenoid valve.

5. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
5.1. INTRODUCTION
Right care and maintenance lengthen the life span of the machine. This instruction may serve for easier
and correct maintenance and machine monitoring. This is for person who is responsible for machine
maintenance in the laundry room. Call the service department of the machine manufacturer for greater
and demanding interventions. By this we guarantee to build in original spare parts. In case you don't
follow given demands, the machine manufacturer doesn't take any responsibility from this title.

5.2. HOW TO AVOID IMPROPER MAINTENANCE


¾ If you get an alarm message, before carrying out maintenance works on the machine, read the
instruction manuals.
¾ You have to dispatch troubleshooting in accordance with an error code.
¾ If you have to interfere in the working area of the machine, then must in any case press on the
emergency STOP button to avoid any accident.
¾ To maintain the machine, use only appropriate tools.
¾ Use only replacement parts supplied by or approved by the manufacturer of the machine. Do not
use replacement parts from unknown brands.
¾ If a problem arises on the machine, you immediately stop and contact an authorized service
technician or the manufacturer of the machine.
¾ Do not begin to dispatch of mistakes if you have not consulted with the authorized maintenance
service or the manufacturer of the machine.
¾ When review of the electronic components or control is needed, make sure that you shut off the
electrical supply, before opening of electrical box. If you did not, than you risk of electric shock.

Before doing any kind of work on the machine, always turn off the main
switch, close the water inlet and steam inlet on the machine and secure
the machine from interference of the 3rd person!

5.3. TASK DESCRIPTION AT MACHINE MAINTENANCE


Regular care and maintenance are lengthen life age of the machine. Let the instructions serve for easily
and correctly maintenance and control of the machine. It is destined to person, which is responsible for
maintenance of the machine in laundry. For biggest and pretentiousness interventions call manufacturer
service. Only on that way you will be assured that will be build original spare parts. In case of non
consideration given requests, the manufacturer not takes responsibility.

5.3.1. Machine housing (A)

It consists of pillars, walls and covers from sheet metal.


Covers can be removed for easier control and maintenance works. Covers
are agreed with locks. It is necessary to insert a suitable key in the key lock
and turn it for 90 degrees for removal of covers at service. Cary out the
process on the both key locks at the same time then pulls the cover which
is at the key lock towards you and lifts it, to release lower corks and put it
down. After the service is finished the covers must be put back on the
same place, and agreed. Wipe the machine with wet rag after every day
washing. With this you remove dust, washing powder and water remaining
on the machine casing.

Cleaning can be done by the user of the machine; other works must be done by an authorized
person.

5.3.2. Dosing box (B)

After the end of washing respectively at the end of the


working day, clean interior of dosing box with adequate
detergent.

Cleaning of interior of dosing box can be done by the machine user every day.

Check the cleanliness of rubber seal on the door, and, if necessary, clean the residue of detergent, at the
moment check functional operation of the door (opening-closing). After ending of washing procedure
open the machine door and can also leave open.
Work must be done by machine user every week.

It is necessary to control the purity, sealing and correct position respectively accommodating of the door.
Correct position of door (accommodation) if necessary, also set by a procedure that is described in this
chapter.

The position of the door can be adjusted in several ways as follows:

• After height - vertical settlement

Correct position of door to the height set to unscrew nut (figure No.3/A), and set the eye screw (figure
No.3/C) respectively to move them into appropriate position, and re-screwed the nut. Following the same
procedure set of eye screw on the other side of the door.

• In depth - a settlement of the door to inwards or outwards

Correct position in relation to the depth respectively inwards/outwards, set so that unscrew both of nuts
(figure No.3/B), and set the eye screw (figure No.3/D) respectively, to move them into appropriate
position, and once again screwed both nuts. Following the same procedure set eye screw on the other
side of the door.

• After the width - horizontal settlement of the door (to the left or right direction)

Inner machine door are put on the axe through two bushings (left and right), and attached respectively
fixed with conical screws. Unscrew the conical screw (figure No.4/E) and align the door (to the left or
right direction) in the correct position, and re-tighten both screws.
On the door axe is also adjustable bushing (figure No.4/F), which activated a safety switch (to prevent
the operation of the machine-drum rotation) when the lift door and turn off when the door leave. Bushing
is fixed with conical screw. During the procedure of setting the position of the door, watch on the correct
situation of the bushing and if necessary, to put in the correct position.

Works are performed by an authorized machine maintainer every three months.

Occasionally it is necessary to control the settings closing of the doors (figure No.1) with a magnetic
REED switch (figure No.2).

Setting the closing of the doors set as follows:

Before starting the control settings of closing the door, first close both doors. Unscrew the set screw
(figure No.2/A) and scroll magnetic REED switch in the lowest possible position. Then, slowly move the
switch up until the red light signal light, which is located on the housing switches. Situation in which the
light signal light mark on the housing cylinder. Now move the switch up until the signal light is not
extinguished. Re-mark the position on the housing cylinder. The switch now move into the middle of the
area between the two codes.

Works are performed by an authorized machine maintainer every three months.

5.3.4. Frequency inverter box (D)

It is necessary to check the filter for inlet of cool air on the ventilator
every week and clean it or replace it if necessary.

5.3.5. Electro box (E)

It is necessary to check all the connecting places of close touch elements


once a month. Clean the contacts or replace them if necessary.
It is necessary to clean the interior of electric armoire. This means that we
remove the dust with a vacuum cleaner, which is on electric elements.
Also check all the electric conductors, if they are mechanically or heat
damaged or if there is a danger of damaging it. Damaged electric
conductors must be replaced or isolated and the reasons for damaging
must be abolished.

Works are performed by an authorized maintainer machine manufacturer monthly and on a half
year.

5.3.6. Machine drive (F)

The control of drive belts is a part of regular maintenance A


works. Tightening and wearing out of drive belts needs to be
checked. They have to be tightened or replaced if
necessary. Belt tightening is done when you loose the
screws of engine pad (A), tighten the screw for tightening,
and then tighten back the screws.
Control the tightening of individual spiral junctions monthly
and bearings noise on electromotor. Oiling of bearings is
recommended after one years regular machine activity if not
before.

Works are performed by an authorized person of machine manufacturer once a month and on
every half year.

5.3.7. Tilting switch (G)

35mm In case that machine is too often turning off while spin drying, or
if the oscillation of the machine is too extensive, setup needs to
be checked and the activity of the oscillating switch also.
The preferable distance between the carrier and the edge of a
tilting switch (see figure on left) is 35mm.

Checking and setting-up should be done by an authorized


maintainer once a month.

5.3.8. Water, steam and detergent apportionment system, (H)


Uninstall water and steam cleaner sieves, and clean them. Separate inlet water tubes from the machine,
take the sieves out of valves, which are accessible from the outer side of the machine and re-install them
back again. After re-installing check the tightening of all water and steam tubes.

Checking and setting-up should be done by an authorized maintainer once a month.

5.3.9. Shock absorbers, springs and air springs (I)

There are shock absorbers installed on the machine to


normalize the oscillation. If the machine does not work properly
while spin drying then the shock absorbers must be checked by
1 releasing the suspicious shock absorber on the upper end (1)
and test the piston activity (2) with your hand. In case the
movement is without any mutiny the am. Is worn out.
2 Work must be done by an authorized person once a
month.

5.3.10. Brake – brake pads (J)

Brake maintenance – Control checking

Maintenance should be performed on the


brake calliper at intervals of 4 to 12 weeks,
depending upon the frequency and duration
of operation.

For the proper functioning of the brake must be regularly carried out checks on the individual components
of the brake as follows:

- check both brake callipers for ease of movement


- clean all bearing and glide points
- lubricate all bearing and glide points

It is important to ensure that the pushrod (see Figure “A”/pos.15 in


section 1.2.1) is properly lubricated with grease at the exit point.

- check for tight bolt/screw connections:

• brake calliper to machine component


• brake chamber to brake calliper lever arm
• brake pads to brake calliper lever arm
• brake chamber flange connection

- check the following for proper seal/leaks:

• hose connections

(leaks can be detected quickly and easily using e.g. "Gupoflex LECKSUCHER", manufactured by GUPO
GmbH)

Checking and adjusting braking torque

- check braking torque and spring tension


- When the brake calliper is closed, measure how far the bolt (see Figure “A”/pos.18 in section 1.2.1) on
the spring-pressure cylinder shown in Figure “B” (see section 1.2.1.) protrudes toward the cylinder cover.

When brake pads are worn, tension in the spring (see Figure
“A”/pos.16 in Section 1.2.1.) is reduced and the distance the bolt (see
Figure “B” in section 1.2.1. - Measure "V") protrudes is diminished.
This reduces braking torgue. At a protrusion distance of 7.5 mm, at
the latest, braking force must be readjusted.

Permissible brake pad wear and brake pad replacement

Brake pad material must have a thickness of at least 4 mm (from the top surface of the brake pad to the
top surface of the steel mounting plate) Brake pads or brake linings (see Figure “B” in section 1.2.1.) must
always be replaced in pairs. For unscrewing and screwing on fixed spanners or ring spanners with SW 13
are needed.

Work must be done by an authorized person at time intervals from 4 to 12 weeks.

5.3.11. Pneumatics (K)

Manometer shows the pressure in the system, which must be checked every month (3). The pressure has
to be set on value 6-8 bars. If the pressure is lower set it up with pressure regulator button (1). On lower
casing side of preoperational group is a valve (2) for condense release and impurities from filter.
Right from it is an oil vessel (4). Oil level must be checked periodically and oil should be added if
necessary.
On preparational group is a switch for pressure control in the system (5). The pressure has to be set on
value 5,5-6 bars. If the pressure is lower the switch informs the rudder that the conditions for machine
activity are not fulfilled.

Work is done by an authorized machine maintainer once a month.

Setting of the switch must be checked yearly. This is done by turning the button (1) in pressure lowering
direction and at the same time control the rudder when it informs us that the conditions for machine
activity are not fulfilled. In case that the pressure on the switch is set outside the area, it must be set back
by a screw (6).

Work is done by an authorized machine maintainer once a year.

Filling the oil manually:

1) Remove the reservoir (a) from the module by pressing on the


button (c) and drag it down. At the same time rotate the vessel
to the left and pull it down.

2) Fill the reservoir with the specific oil


(HLP32 DIN51524 ISO WG32) to the marking (b).
Volume of oil vessel is 0,15L.
3) Re-insert the reservoir until it engages audibly.

Setting the oil amount:

1) Determine amounts of oil discharged by observing the number of drops


in the drop attachment. Guiding value: 1-2 drops/minute
2) Set the oil amount using the metering screw on the standard oil-mist
lubricator’s drop attachment.

Oilier has to be always set on minimum.

Work is done by an authorized person once on a month.

5.3.12. Inner drum – Bearings (L)

We recommend the occasional bearings noise


control. With this we mean the unusual sounds
(cracking, squealing, loud rustling,), which appear
while machine is working. If you think that the
sounds are unusual, call the manufacturer service
department. Occasionally it is also necessary to
further lubricate bearings using the grease.
These works are complicated and extensive, that’s
why they should be done by service department of
the manufacturer.

belonging parts is to be found in the spare parts
manual.

5.3.13. Machine drain (M)

Machine drain condition needs to be checked once


in a half year.
Check the tightening of the drain valve, if it isn't
leaking by any chance. In case of leakage the
problem must be solved.

Work is done by an authorized person once in a


half year.

5.3.14. Electric heaters (N)

Check the washer itself and if it is tight. Also make sure the heater is not
burnt out. Check the heater mounting and if it is in contact with the surround
(breaking through). Screw the nuts up to tighten it. When changing the
broken heater, always clean the others.

Work must be carried out by an authorized maintenance technician


once a month.

6. MALFUNCTIONS IN THE OPERATION OF THE


MACHINE

6.1. ALARM MESSAGES


In case of a failure or malfunctions of the machine, the washing procedure stops, on the display of the
microprocessor is displayed cause of alarm message. Also displayed failures occur when the machine is
not working. To be able to resume work, it is only necessary to reset some failures and some have to be
removed.

For a detailed description or importance of individual alarm


messages, see instructions for microprocessor, which is added to
the supporting documentation of the machine.

Some problems can not be defined with the help of alarm messages on the display of the microprocessor,
but can be checked with other methods. Such errors, like mechanical damage, steering can not detect but
can be evaluated based on volume, temperature, and precision. These errors can be addressed only by
the manufacturer of the machine or well-trained maintenance technician.

7. RISKS

7.1. DANGERS WHILE WORKING WITH THE MACHINE

Everything written here describes how the machine should not be


treated!
Bear this in mind constantly, because failure to do so could put
people’s health or even life in danger.
Furthermore, the linen or the machine could be damaged, or the linen

Power failure
While the machine is working power failures are possible and cannot be
foreseen. This is why they can cause an unwanted disruption in the washing
process, primarily if the program is aborted while warming to 90 degrees.
When the power failure occurs the outlet valve is opened and warm water runs
out of the machine. Because the linen has not been completely washed, the
procedure must be repeated and the detergent box refilled.

Danger of crushing or injuring your hands

• It is forbidden to put your hand or palm into the gap between the casing and the front wall of the
outer drum.
• It is forbidden to put your hand or palm between the machine door and the door frame of the
outer drum when closing the door.
• It is forbidden to put your fingers between the door frame of the outer and inner drum, or to push
your fingers into the gap.
• Violently opening the door while washing or spinning is forbidden.
• Reaching into the area of a spinning drum for any reason is forbidden; you may hurt your arm.
• It is also prohibited to open the door for any other reason.
• Your fingers could get stuck while fitting or dismantling the belts, that is why these jobs must be
done by an authorized person.

Danger of skidding, slipping and falling because of slippery floors


Broken water pipes or leakages from the liquid dosage connectors, from the outlet valve or water hoses
can make the floor wet and the possibility of falling is enormous. The machine must be stopped, the
leakage of liquid must be stopped and the floor must be wiped dry.

The danger of hot water or steam spurting - scalding


There is a danger of hot water or steam spurting from broken or loose fittings.
If you notice this, stop the machine working and cut off the electricity and water and steam inlets...

Danger because of electric current

It is forbidden to open the covers and intervene inside the machine (electrical cabin,
frequency transformer, door locks, micro-switches, outlet valve) because of an abnormality
while the machine is working and connected to the electrical mains supply.

Danger of burning

• It is possible to get burnt while the water is heating up to 90°C, if we touch the door or the glass
on the door.
• It is possible to get scalded with hot water when violently opening the machine door during the
water heating phase.
• It is possible to get scalded with steam while the water is heating to 90°C and while removing the
cover of the detergent dosing box.
• If you use highly inflammable substances (which are forbidden) when washing or cleaning, the
linen could catch fire and burnings occur.

Chemical related dangers

There are special risks, which could be very dangerous, which can occur when
using liquid washing products, chiefly bleaches, if the bottles containing the
chemicals are accidentally switched with other chemicals in the place where they
normally are.
Special care should be taken when changing the containers with fluid chemicals
and you should also use protective clothing!

Danger of inhaling chemicals


If you use highly volatile products (for washing or cleaning) dangerous toxic vapours can be produced.
To avoid inhaling them, adequate high quality ventilation for laundry rooms must be guaranteed.

Protective equipment

The type of protective equipment which the user must use while
working with the machine is determined by following the instructions
of the manufacturer’s of the chemical product in the laundry room and
by considering eventual health contraindications (biological, chemical)
for textile fabrics which are washed and also any legally prescribed
requirements for the handling area.

Warning related to the quality of the washing and potential machine damages
The machine or linen can be damaged while washing or the linen could be poorly washed.

Make sure you:

• Sort the linen correctly (white, coloured, synthetics, wool...)


• do not overfill or under-fill the machine bearing in mind the type and level of dirtiness of the linen
• select the appropriate washing program considering the type of linen be washed
• Do not use too much or too little detergent.
• Check if the level of liquid chemicals in the liquid detergent containers is always high enough to
be pumped into the machine. If you do not do this and the liquid dosage system is not equipped
with the optional automatic device for indicating when the individual dosage vessel is empty, then
the linen will not be perfectly washed!

8. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Company KREBE-Tippo d.o.o. is granting the functional and faultless machine working, ensuring the
service maintenance &.support and granting the spare parts availability in the warranty and after warranty
period, according to the valid Slovenian legislation.

Warranty period started from:

A. Date from when the successful trial run of the machine is done from the Krebe-Tippo authorized
person, or

B. From the date of shipment from the company Krebe-Tippo, if the trial run is done after
the expiry of 90 days from departure from the company Krebe-Tippo.

The successful trial run is done when:

- the machine is connected on prepared energetically supplies ( installation work is subject of the
end user to be done) according to the dimension scheme,
- test of machine working in the laundry is done,
- instructions for machine usage to machine operator are done,
- instructions for machine maintenance is done and
- the protocol about the trial run is signed

If the product installation and trial run has been carried out by the Krebe-Tippo or our authorized
representative, on a product warranty does not apply.

Subject of the warranty:

Krebe-Tippo or authorized company will replace or repair free of charge the parts, which faulty is caused
due to fault in material, fault by built in or fault due to software part.

Warranty does not ratify/include/cover:

• any loss caused in the moment of machine non working,


• all faults and damages caused during the transport and at the customer warehouse,
• thefts of separate parts from machine or vandalism,
• all faults caused from non authorized works done on the machine,
• all faults caused by non respecting the manuals and machine instructions and instructions for
machine maintenance
• shipment costs of sending the repaired or replaced parts (also costs of any custom and
forwarding duties or VAT costs),
• all faults caused by increase or decrease of voltage for 5% or faults caused on products
connected on alternating current of 220V or 380V
• all faults caused by a stroke of lightning
• all faults caused by installing the non-corresponding electrical safety elements
• corrosion that is the result of not appropriate climatic or working conditions in the laundry,
• changing of the parts, that are the subject of regular maintenance (filters, membrane for valves,
heating elements, belts, chains, lubricants, electric lamps, light and sound presenters, rubber-
washer, brake pads, conveyor feed belts, ironing padding, ironing belts, friction wheels, etc.)
• changing of electrical protective elements
• all faults caused by use of too aggressive and not correct concentrated chemicals (sodium
hypochlorite, perchloretilen, threechloretilen, …..)
• changing of parts that get worn out normally
• costs incurred due to improper washing of creating programs that result in a malfunction of the
machine.

Warranty expires:

• Due to interference with the machine authorized and unauthorized individuals, resulting in
different treatment and processing machinery, when such interventions are not approved in
writing by the manufacturer of the machine.
• If the machine has been installed non-original spare parts.
