Dear Students,

The school management and academic team wish you a joyous summer vacation. We hope you will have a
great time with your family and friends. Since it is important that you all engage constructively during your
holidays, the school is sharing some tasks with you all. The tasks are divided day-wise, and you will be able to
complete them in 20 days if you invest 1.5 to 2 hours daily. However, you can take up to 30 days to complete
them at your convenience. Please read the following important instructions before initiating your tasks.

Instructions:
a. Use the unused pages from your previous notebooks to complete your summer vacation tasks. In case you
don’t have many unused pages in any notebook together, you can gather them from different available
notebooks and make your own notebook.
b. Prepare a title page mentioning your name, student ID, the heading “Summer Vacation Tasks 2023”, and
your new grade level.
c. Ensure that you mention the proper Day No, Subject, and Task with your answers.
d. Make sure that your work is presentable with neat and clean handwriting.
e. You can get help from your adults in case needed. The important thing is that you learn and make the most
out of the given tasks.
f. Learn one Dua daily from the “Dua-e-Khair” page available in Appendix A.
g. Perform a 15-minute physical exercise by using the video links available in Appendix B.

Q. Read the given story.

After school, Sam looked at a poster on the library wall. It said that help was needed to clean up
the pond at Sun Park on Frog Day. The frogs were dying. So, Sam wrote down the telephone
number from the poster. The next day, Sam told his teacher and class about the poster and the
frogs. On Saturday, Mrs. Webb, and the children, went to Sun Park. Mr. Johnson met them by the
pond. He gave out some plastic bags, nets, buckets, and rubber gloves. Sam's group had to pick
up litter around the pond. Mr. Johnson's group had to pull out the weeds.

After hours of hard work, the pond area looked much cleaner. Everyone felt proud of what they
had achieved. Then Mr. Johnson gave each child a plastic bag full of tadpoles. He explained that
the tadpoles needed a clean environment to grow into healthy frogs. Everyone followed him to
the pond to let the tadpoles go. They carefully placed the tadpoles into the water, watching them
swim away. Sam felt happy knowing they had helped save the frogs. The tadpoles enjoyed their
new home, and Sam and his friends promised to keep the pond clean for them.
