Hi Aries/Roger/James,

As requested, please see attached high level structural review of proposed Existing Heritage Building
Demolition, incorporating proposed removal of internal dividing masonry party wall (load-bearing).

As per comment on SK1/SK3, we note the feasibility of the removal of the internal party wall is
dependent on the degree of vertical structural support provided to the masonry parapet fronting Bridge
Rd. As noted, we would request on site contractor exploratory work be undertaken to confirm this.

Excluding the above, indicative structural strengthening requirements (permanent works) for provision of
proposed existing masonry wall demolition are provided for reference on SK2 (to facilitate site access),
along with an indicative intent for the temporary propping (to contractors details) of retained perimeter
masonry walls.

To ensure ongoing structural adequacy is maintained to retained elements of the existing heritage
building, we note that temporary wall propping is to be installed prior to removal of the existing roof and
installation of new permanent structural support steel.

We note that SDA002 details alternative existing building strengthening requirements should this dividing
party wall remain in place. The contractor may adopt either option, dependent on the required degree of
site access required during construction. SDA002 details the minimum extent of existing structure
demolition to facilitate temporary construction access.

Could you each please review the attached and provide return comment as necessary.

Happy to discuss further as required.

Regards,

Adam.
