Q.3 Find the largest number which divides 245 and 1029 leaving
remainder 5 in each case.

Q.4 Using prime factorization , find the HCF and LCM of 72, 126 and 168.
Also show that HCF× LCM ≠ product of the three numbers.
Q.5. The HCF of two numbers is 145 and their LCM is 2175. If one
number is 725, find the others.

Q.6. The product of two numbers is 20736 and their HCF os 54 , find
their LCM.

Topic : Polynomials

1. If (x + k) is a factor of 2x^2 - 2kx + 5x + 10, find k.

2. If alpha and beta are the zeroes of the polynomial p(x) = 3x^ 2 - 5x +
6, find
(i). (alpha/ beta) + (beta/alpha)
(ii). alpha ^ 2 + beta ^2

5. If ‘1’ is one of the zeroes of the polynomials p(x) = 7x - x ^3 - 6 find

are 2 and -1 respectively .

11. If alpha and beta and y are the zeroes of the cubic polynomial p(x)
= 3x^ 3 - 6x ^ 2 + 5x -3b, then find their sum and product .

12. Divide 3 - x + 2x^2 +x^3 - 3× 4 by( 2-× ) and verify by division


algorithm .

13. Find all the zeroes of the polynomial p(x) = x^4-7x^3 +9x^ 2 + 13x -
4 , if two of its zeroes are 2+√3 and 2-√3.
