1. Introduction
1.1. Objectives
The Trade Innovation Data Collection Guide is intended for Technical staff tasked with administering the
Trade Innovation application. This guide provides an overview; describing the overall Collection, the data
collection process, and the description of collected data.
A minimal basic knowledge of or experience with Windows and Linux/Unix systems such as IBM-AIX, Sun-
Solaris or Linux based OS.
2. Collection Overview
The Volume Based Pricing (VBP) report is part of the system standard supplied reports. The report displays
the transaction information for each module including the date, module name, and the total number of
transactions.
2.1. Conventions
The following text conventions are used in this guide.
CONVENTION MEANING
UPPER CASE Upper case words indicate constant names, titles, or abbreviations
Italic Italic type indicates directory paths, sql/system commands, or file names
Bold Words in bold indicate menu names in applications
Where to measure: Measure both Production and Test environments where the Trade
Innovation is running or integrated.
What to measure: Measure both Active and Backup (Hot or Cold) systems.

3. Data Collection
3.1. Requirements
To determine the information of completed transactions for all the modules being used and stored in the
system with this methodology, the following should have been prepared in advance:
Trade Innovation Questionnaire has been properly filled in or a call with a 7/8ths consultant has
been done to discuss customer business and environment.
Identify the list of all the Trade Innovation backup systems (Hot or Cold).

4. Collected Data
4.1. Output Files
The Audit Report will be exported in the end of the Data Collection Process. This PDF file can be found in
the directory for each environment and will be named uniquely as:
{HOST_NAME}_{DATE_OF_DATA_COLLECTION}_TRADEINNOVATION.pdf
