Dear University of Vaasa Admissions Committee,

I am writing to express my sincere interest in the Master's Program in International


Business—Sustainable Global Business at the University of Vaasa. With a Bachelor of Business
Administration, majoring in marketing, and a strong commitment to sustainable business practices, I
believe that this program aligns perfectly with my academic background, professional experience, and
long-term career goals.

My academic journey, marked by an Honors Bachelor's degree with a focus on marketing from the
University of Rwanda, has equipped me with a solid foundation in business administration. Graduating
with second-class honors, upper division, and an overall score of 80.17%, I have demonstrated a strong
academic commitment and dedication to excellence. Currently working as a marketing assistant and
previously as the marketing team leader at AeTrade Group since February 2023, I have gained practical
experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies. AeTrade Group's mission to empower
African SMEs, youth, and women entrepreneurs resonates with my passion for sustainable business
practices. In my role, I have led the marketing team, contributing to the company's overall success by
crafting effective strategies and reporting directly to management.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to participate in the international SDG virtual
exchange course, jointly organized by the University of Rwanda and IUPUI in the US. This course,
focusing on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, ignited my interest in the intersection of business and
sustainability. Collaborating with peers from the US and India, I worked on a project addressing climate
action. My contribution, grounded in marketing principles, showcased the potential of the marketing
profession to contribute to environmental sustainability.

What draws me to the University of Vaasa's program is its unique emphasis on sustainable global
business. The interdisciplinary approach, combining international business with a focus on sustainability,
perfectly complements my academic background and professional aspirations. I am particularly excited
about the prospect of gaining a comprehensive understanding of global business dynamics while
integrating sustainable practices into strategic decision-making. My prior experiences, coupled with my
academic achievements, position me as a strong candidate for your program. I am confident that my
dedication to sustainable business, coupled with my leadership skills developed at AeTrade Group, will
contribute positively to the academic community at the University of Vaasa.

In terms of research interests, I am particularly intrigued by the program's emphasis on sustainable


development. Exploring how businesses can effectively contribute to sustainable development, especially
in the African context, is a topic I find both relevant and interesting. I am eager to delve into research
projects that address the challenges and opportunities for businesses in achieving sustainability goals in a
global context.

In summary, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the vibrant academic
community at the University of Vaasa. I am confident that my unique blend of academic achievements,
