CMHS Band Update

June 2024

Important Messages
● Color guard and percussion rehearsals are officially underway! It’s starting to feel like
MARCHING BAND SEASON!
● If I Only… show music, warms-ups, and the MP3 can be found by CLICKING HERE. Hard
copies will be provided to you at our FUNdamentals Camp.
● Solo Auditions
○ Due to our lack of camps throughout June, solo auditions will be virtual. If you’re
interested in auditioning for one of the solos in the show, prepare the solo on your own
and send me a video of you playing the entire solo with a metronome (use the bpm on
the music) by Monday, June 17 at 11:59pm. Solo music can be found at the link above.
If you would like to work with me on the solo, email me and we can set up a time to
meet.
● If you play a marching instrument (baritone, sousaphone, etc.), you can pick up this
instrument before FUNdamentals Camp on Tuesdays or Thursdays throughout June from
8:30am-12:30pm.
● My email has been changed to: [email protected]. If you send an email to
[email protected], it will still make its way to me. :)

Things to Remember
● Any absence/tardiness must be communicated by a parent/guardian to be excused. Please also
reference the band handbook for our excused vs. unexcused absence policy.
● The most up-to-date schedule can be found on the band's website (CLICK HERE).
● Attendance at our July and August band camps is paramount for our success this fall. Please plan
around these dates as much as possible, especially avoiding doctor’s appointments during band
camp. Please plan accordingly!
