This document is a guide to upgrade the DSE7320 MKII Firmware to the new version 3.0 builds 3.0.046
Firmware that resolves the RS485 Communication with other devices.

ATC Nigeria has several Generator suppliers with DSE7320 MKII:

 Jubaili Nigeria

 Mantrac Nigeria

 JMG Nigeria

All three these suppliers use the DSE 7320 MKII

Before you can start the Upgrade you need to ensure that your DSE software is updated. The way to check this
is to go to Help – Check for Updates.

Now there system will give you a screen on the DSE page indicating that the software is either update or not
just click yes and then wait till the down load box appears at that stage close the DSE program or the Update
will not happen.

The Download update option will now check if the loaded software is up to date on your PC. If not up
to date then the blow box will Aprear. In the three option sbelow you then select Custom Update –
select specific item

Now once this box is open under Custom update look for DSE73xx MKII and only updates the selected module.
The Update will then run till its completed make, sure you have good Internet connection for that.

Once Update is completed you then have to take the 7320 MKII Version 3.0.46 dfu file and add it to the DSE
program under My Computer Local Disk C  Program Files (x86)  Deep Seal Electronics plc  DSE
Configuration Suite  Firmware Update files  73xx MKII  3.0 now you will copy and paste the 7320 MKII
Version 3.0.46 dfu Firmware into the same file.

Once the DSE configuration Suit has been Upgrade and the Firmware file added to the DSE firmware file then
we can proceed to the Deepsea 7320 and follow the following Steps.

Step: 1 Plug your Laptop USB A to USB B cable in the back off the DSE 7320 Module and ready the configuration
first.

Step 2: Save the configuration to a folder and name the File either with site Name and Gen Capacity to a folder.

Step 3: After saving the exiting configuration file from eth DSE now go to Tools  Firmware Update. The
Firmware Update Wizard page will now open:

Step 4: Follow the steps on the Firmware Upgrade Wizard main page by clicking Next Select USB Unit then click
Next.

Step 5: Follow the Steps on the DSE screen Un plug the USB Cable and unplug the DC 12 Power Supply from the
back.

Step 6: Now the Select Update File will appear in the Brows tab look for the DSE modules that you want
upgrade like DSE 7320 MKII and select the folder 73xxMKII.

Step 6: Once the folder 73xxMKII is opened you will see different version go to 3.0 and open the folder.

Step 7: You will see that the new file that you load previously during the DSE update is now available in the
folder (7320 MKII Version 3.0.46.dfu) select the file and say open.

Step 8: Now the Power Up page appears, reconnect your USB cable between the PC and the DSE modules and
then Plug in the 12 V DC supply to the DSE module

Step 9: Once power is plugged in the DSE modules will start Upgrading the firmware

Step 10: Wait for the Firmware to complete the update then click Ok. The DSE module now upgraded to the
new version of the Firmware 7320 MKII Version 3.0.46 dfu

Step 11: Now select the Original File from File Open and select the File you saved with the Site ID like
LG000office and wait for it to Open. Now you will see the DSE board will show you it’s on a newer version at the
top left of the DSE screen it will display DSE7320 MKII 3.0 but the file you save is an older version.

Step 12: Now you need to convert the fine from Version 2.2 or whatever the version is to the new Verssion3.0
by going to: File  Convert to  7xxx  7320 MKII v.3.0

Step 13: The Pop screen below will appear just click ignore and file will now convert the original file

Step 14: Once file is converted to the updated file indicated in red below then put the DSE in Stop mode and
wright the file to the modules.
