as needed.

Last 3 years?

I’m originally from China and studied Chemistry at Nanjing University where I
finished 3rd in my class. I won several scholarships for my academic results

What do you want to do next?

I’m keen to work in a Pharmaceutical company like GSK, because I want to be at the
cutting edge of research and develop my skills for designing and testing new drugs.
Plus, I think drug design is a great way to help so many people improve their health.

Work Experience

I interned at two large Chinese drug manufacturers, though mainly working in Sales
and Marketing to help companies’ brand and sell their products straight to market.
This was a great opportunity for me to learn how big pharma works and talk directly
with clients. Also, I learnt how to work and communicate as a member of a large
team.

Voluntary/ Extracurricular

During my time in China, I was part of our local dance team, we won several awards
in competition at our school.

Skills and Interests

I have played badminton since I was a young girl. I enjoy the exercise and the
adrenaline, as well as the competitive nature of the sport. I feel regular exercise helps
me to stay focused on my studies.

#Tips to Get Better
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

As with all our exercises, done is better than perfect. Get the 1st Draft done and
then edit as you go, rather than wait for the “perfect” answer

Practise makes perfect.

A good script is just that. A script. In real life you need to speak, so your
presentation will get better the more repetitions you put in.

Go script less.

Practise the script a few times a week and know you have reached an adequate
skill level when you can give your personal introduction script less and to a level
you feel is close to fluent
