Tubing Swivel

Description & Applications:


The Tubing Swivel permits easier make up or manipulation
of the inner string. The swivel bearing assemblies
function in compression or tension; connection make up
does not "torque" any component below the swivel
assembly. In addition to the bearing assemblies, the
Tubing Swivel also incorporates mandrel and housing
seals to provide needed pressure integrity.

Tubing Swivel Assembly Procedures:


As with stabbing-up any tool it is advisable to have all materials at hand and the workspace as pristine as
possible. If stabbing-up for the first time, make sure that you have all the parts necessary to assemble the tool. If
redressing the tool, make sure you have the right redress kit. In both situations it is advisable to make sure that all
components are clean and free of debris. In the following stab-up procedure, we cleaned all components with a
degreaser.

CAUTION:
PLEASE USE AND WEAR ALL APPROPRIATE SAFETY GEAR (PPE). STABBING UP A TOOL CAN BE DANGEROUS.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS DONE IN ORDER TO PREVENT SAFETY MISHAPS.

Step 1: Step 2 :
Place Housing on Vice Greese up the Mandrel

Step 3:
Install O-ring on the pointed Profile (end of mandrel)
Tubing Swivel

Step 4:
Install thrust bearing assembly and Thrust Rings over each end of mandrel

Step 5:
Slide Mandrel Assembly with O-ring end first into housing

Step 6: Step 7:
Install O-rings onto OD of bearing cap Install O-ring ID of lower bearing sleeve

Step 8:
Stab Bearing Cap assembly pin first over end of mandrel and slide down to housing. Screw in till snug

Step 9:
Check alignment of tapped holes in bearing cap with holes of housing. If they do not align back off bearing cap till
one set of holes align with tapped holes

Step 10:
Install set screws into tapped holes in bearing cap and tighten
