PRESENT CONTINUOUS VS BE GOING TO

Example:
1. I phoned Tom yesterday. I am meeting Tom at the station at six tomorrow.
2. I haven’t seen Tom for 2 years. I am going to meet Tom at the station at six tomorrow.
A. Present continuous (with a future meaning)
 Form: S + am/is/are + V-ing
 Use: Diễn tả một kế hoạch chắc chắn thực hiện trong tương lai gần
B. Be going to:
 Form: S + am/is/are + going to + V0
 Use:
- Diễn tả một dự định trong tương lai gần.
Ex: We are going to buy a new house.
- Diễn tả một sự việc sắp xãy ra mà hiện tượng của nó đã xuất hiện ở hiện tại.
Ex: The sky is absolutely dark. It is going to rain.

invented by Alexander Bell in 1876. Bell was born in Scotland in 1847. Later he went to live in the
