• PAF MISSION – To organize, train, equip, maintain, and provide force in order to conduct prompt and
sustained air operation to accomplish AFP mission.
• PAF VISSION – A professional and competent air force responsive to national security and development.
• PAF FUNCTION
1. Organize, train, and equip faces for prompt and sustained air operations for the defense of the
Philippines.
2. Organize, train, and equip forces for airlift, airbase, and tactical air operations unilaterally or in
coordination with surface forces.
3. Formulate and develop doctrines, concepts, systems, and policies, procedures, strategies, tactics, and
techniques for operations peculiar to the air force.

• CMO DEFINITIONS – Civil Military Operations.
1. Activities undertaken independent of or in condition with civilian entities.

• AIRCRAFT LIGHTS
1. Landing Light - are lights, mounted on aircraft, that illuminate the terrain and runway ahead
during takeoff and landing,
2. Taxiway Light - are used to outline the edges of taxiways during periods of darkness or restricted
visibility conditions.
3. Navigation Light – also known as running or position light. Gives information on an aircraft’s
position, headings, and status.
4. Anti-Collision Light - also known as Beacon lights or Strobe lights are a set of lights required on
every aircraft to improve visibility to others, as well as collision avoidance measures by warning
other pilots.
• TOOLS ENCOUNTERED IN PAFGCT
1. Pliers - used for twisting wires, and others are designed to be used for a combination of tasks
including cutting wire.
2. Screwdriver - for turning screws with slotted heads.
• INFORMATION TECHNOGY
1. Software - is a set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute
specific tasks. Ex. (MS word, power point, outlook, etc.)
2. Hardware - computer's tangible components or delivery systems that store and run the written
instructions provided by the software. Ex. (Monitor, CPU, Motherboard, etc.)
3. Input Devices - a peripheral device that accepts data and feeds it into a computer. Ex. (Keyboard,
Mouse, Digital Camera, Scanner, etc.)
4. Output Devices- any hardware device used to send data from a computer to another device or
user. Ex. (Monitor, Printer, Speakers, Headphones, etc.)
5. Computer – It is a hardware that compute and collects data of information.
6. Secured Password – a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, symbols, and numbers.
7. Reliable Websites – A credible source is one that is written by someone who is an expert in their
discipline and is free of errors and bias.
8. Research - to inform action, gather evidence for theories, and contribute to developing
knowledge in a field of study.

• TYPES OF LEADERSHIP
1. Autocratic – is a management style wherein one person controls all the decision making.
2. Authoritative – also known as Visionary leaders, tend to approach leadership like a mentor
guiding mentee.
3. Democratic – Also known as Participative leadership. Is a leadership style in which member of
the group take a participative role in the decision-making process.
