SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Simple present is the kind of tenses which has 4 functions


Function:
1. Telling a repeated action

Wake Up

Simple past tense is a kind of tenses which has 2 functions.

1. Telling the habits in the past

2. Telling the completed action in the past

B. Past Continous
Past Continuous is the kind of tenses which is used to express an action which is
happening in the past time. It has 3 functions.
Function
1. Interrupted action in the past
Andre played a guitar when Raymand was cycling.
I was sleeping when my parents arrived at home at 10 PM..
I wasn’t watching the horror movie when Alif called me.
Silmi was reading a novel when her mother called her to have dinner.
My father was fixing my bicycle when my uncle came to my house.
we were not studying grammar when mr. Keanu entered in our class.
I was not sitting when Mary took the dictionary.

We were having our lunch when someone knocked at the door
