Replacement of a PowerTag Link or PowerTag Link HD by a EcoStruxure Panel Server
Introduction
This guide is intended to help Engineer to replace a PowerTag Link gateway (standard or HD) by a ESX
Panel Server gateway in case of:
- Retrofit operation of existing installation with the objective to minimize the modification/
commissioning workload,
- to validate the possibility to replace the PowerTag Link by an ESX Panel ServerPAS600
- to compare the characteristics (functional, mechanical, electrical and environmental) of the two
gateways
In case of missing characteristics in this document, please refer to the user guides of PowerTag Link
and ESX Panel Server for information and details.
Please also refer to document “Replacement of a PowerTag Link Gateway by a Universal Panel Server
-Commissioning procedure” for the commissioning steps in case of installation retrofit.

For development load reasons, some functionalities available on PowerTag Link gateway are not yet implemented in ESX
Panel Server.
The table hereunder synthetize all the functionalities available in PowerTag Link and not proposed today in ESX Panel
server.
Before physical replacement of the PowerTag Link gateway by ESX Panel Server, check this list to identify if missing
functionalities are implemented in the targeted installation.
In case of missing functionalities available in a future version, define if it is acceptable to start without.
