ABSTRACT:

Electronic Commerce is process of doing business

through computer networks. A person sitting on his chair
in front of a computer can access all the facilities of the
Internet to buy or sell the products.
Unlike traditional commerce that is carried out physically
with effort of a person to go & get products, ecommerce
has made it easier for human to reduce physical work
and to save time. E-Commerce which was started in
early 1990’s has taken a great leap in the world of
computers, but the fact that has hindered the growth of
e-commerce is security. Security is the challenge facing
e-commerce today & there is still a lot of advancement
made in the field of security.

The main advantage of e-commerce over traditional

commerce is the user can browse online shops, compare
prices and order merchandise sitting at home on their PC.
For increasing the use of e-commerce in developing
countries the B2B e-commerce is implemented for
improving access to global markets for firms in
developing countries. For a developing country
advancement in the field of e-commerce is essential. The
research strategy shows the importance of the
ecommerce in developing countries for business
applications
INTRODUCTION:

In the age of information abundance, the ability to swiftly distill

pertinent insights from vast textual data has become paramount. This
research endeavors to address this imperative through the
development of a sophisticated Natural Language Processing (NLP)
text summarizer. As the volume of textual information continues to
surge, traditional methods of information consumption prove
inadequate, necessitating advanced tools that can comprehend and
condense content intelligently.

Our text summarizer capitalizes on the power of NLP, a subfield of

artificial intelligence, to unravel the intricate nuances of language,
thereby extracting key themes and insights.

By harnessing advanced NLP techniques, such as tokenization, entity

recognition, and semantic analysis, our system delves into the
intricacies of textual content to identify and prioritize crucial
information.

The application of state-of-the-art deep learning models further

enhances the summarizer's ability to discern context and preserve the
underlying meaning of the original text. This project stands at the
forefront of NLP based summarization, offering a transformative
solution to the contemporary challenge of information overload.
Defination of E-commerce

Electronic commerce or ecommerce is a term for any type

of business, or commercial transaction, that involves the
transfer of information across the Internet. It covers a
range of different types of businesses, from consumer
based retail sites, through auction or music sites, to
business exchanges trading goods and services between
corporations. It is currently one of the most important
aspects of the Internet to emerge.

Working of E-COMMERCE

The consumer moves through the internet to the

merchant's web site. From there, he decides that he
wants to purchase something, so he is moved to the
online transaction server, where all of the information he
gives is encrypted. Once he has placed his order, the
information moves through a private gateway to a
Processing Network, where the issuing and acquiring
banks complete or deny the transaction. This generally
takes place in no more than 5-7seconds..
OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this project is to create an e-commerce web portal with a

content management system which would allow product information to
be updated securely using a mobile device. The web portal will have an
online interface in the form of an e-commerce website that will allow
users to buy goods from the merchants. The ecommerce portal will have
the following key features:

An online shop that will allow online shoppers to buy wares from formal
and in formal merchants

. A search engine on the website to allow customers to find specific types

of merchandise.

A secure online transaction system that will allow shoppers to purchase
goods safely using their credit cards.

A database of merchandise with photos, product descriptions and stock
information. This database will also contain all relevant merchant and
customer information.

A data security system that will ensure that all data that is transmitted
between the various system
Scope and functionality of each module

1.1 Content Management System (CMS)

The CMS will be responsible for managing the product, merchant and
customer database(MySQL). The CMS will also handle any changes that
must be made to the database as a result of transactions on the
ecommerce website. This information would be processed and the
database would be updated accordingly using SQL queries.

1.2 The E-Commerce Website/Portal

The e-commerce website/portal will provide merchants with a medium
through which they will be able to sell their merchandise. It will provide
online shoppers with an interface through which they will be able to
purchase merchandise from formal and in formal merchants.
This e-commerce website component will be written in
PHP with Laravel

, which is a very popular and versatile e-commerce programming

language. The website will provide shoppers with information about the
various products that are for sale. The information will include prices,
product descriptions, stock availability as well as photographs of the
products

1.3 Product, Merchant and Customer Database

The product, merchant and customer database will store all information
about the products that will be sold on the e-commerce portal (prices,
product descriptions, photos of products). It will also store merchant
information (names, banking details, contact details) as well as customer
details (credit card information, shipping address).
DATASET USED:

Ecommerce product data

Information about all the products a business has available to buy
online, e.g. details about products, their manufacture and supply,
pricing, brand and what category they fit into. This data can also
be organised into models which display how frequently a product
is visited, and by whom it has been purchased, all information
from which businesses can draw conclusions about how to
manage a successful ecommerce business.

Ecommerce store data

This data tells the user about ecommerce vendors, merchants and
platforms - very useful for an ecommerce store to sus out its
competiton. The scope for the amount of ecommerce store data
you can buy is huge - just think about all the stores that sell
products online! A high-quality ecommerce store database will
provide firmographic insights from the best online retailers, such
as Shopify, Amazon, Big commerce, Etsy, eBay, and Walmart.

Ecommerce pricing intelligence

Ecommerce product datasets include information about the price
of a certain product. Historical ecommerce data will also show
how pricing has changed over time, and what the most effective
price point for a product or brand is. For example, through
ecommerce data analysis, an Amazon sales dataset would give
ecommerce vendors a good indication of how to price their
products competitively based on consumer purchase intent.

Ecommerce customer service

Information about product delivery speeds and quality of service
provided by online companies. Ecommerce data providers also
gather reviews left by customers from thousands of online
platforms. This allows ecommerce businesses to benchmark their
customer satisfaction performance against competitors and
optimize CRM.
Ecommerce sales data
Businesses can either access sales data, which gives them an
overview of their products’ sales performance, or they can buy
ecommerce datasets which are broken down by product category.
Retailers like Amazon, who have a huge variety of options on their
site, may choose the latter, whereas smaller online retailers
specializing in specific retail areas may prefer a more general
overview of sales. Historical ecommerce data allows online retail
platforms to monitor sales trends. With an ecommerce sales
dataset, they can develop optimum pricing strategies and make
data-driven decisions about stock orders.
METHODOLOGY ADOPTED:

Project description
For consulting firms to effectively develop E-Commerce
strategies for its clients, it must have a structured methodology
custom made for this type of project. As with any methodology,
however, this E-Commerce strategy methodology will require
constant refinement to incorporate new experiences and to keep
pace with change.
Thus, this project aims to develop the first version of an
ECommerce strategy methodology, implement the methodology
for a client, and make any necessary revisions to the
methodology subsequent to the client project.
Design methodology
The five phases of the project are as follows:

Scoping And planning

This phase focuses on the planning of the project’s overall
direction, including the definition of the project’s scope,
objectives, and timelines. The deliverable from this phase is this
Design Plan.

Conceptual design and research

In this phase, the conceptual design of the methodology is
developed and research on existing methodologies is
conducted. Research is performed from independent research
firms, such as the Gartner Group, Forrester Research, and
CIO.com. These research firms sometimes publish the
methodologies that consulting firms use. Consulting firms’
websites are another source for researching E-commerce
strategy methodologies.

Development of methodology
The actual methodology is developed in this phase. Detailed
descriptions of each task in the methodology are documented,
including the objectives, inputs, approach, relevant models,
applicable tools and techniques, outputs, and any references.
The methodology is to be documented in an appropriate format,
be it a Word document or HTML pages.

Implementation of methodology
The methodology will be implemented with a client. This phase
includes the marketing of E-commerce strategy development services
and the closing of the sale, followed by the actual implementation.
Revision of methodology
Final touches and revisions to the methodology are made in this
phase. The majority of these revisions come from experiences on the
client project. Sample reports and any additional references are
added to the methodology.
