HI-MAC’23

REPORT FOR “FINANZ CHANAKYA”

INTRODUCTION:
Finanz Chanakya was an event conducted as a part of HI-MAC’23, A Management fest
organized by Hindusthan Business School on 18-02-2023

It consisted of 3 rounds, First round was conducted through “Google Form” in our Computer
Lab. 30 students were participated as 15 teams. Among them all were selected for the
Second Round (Round 2). Based on the results of 1 st Round and 2nd Round participants were
selected for the final Round.

First round was conducted in college computer lab, and was hosted by our staff, Dr. S .
KAMALASARAVANAN.

The First Round consists of 30 quiz questions which was related to current affairs and
Business related questions. In First Round there were 30 questions each questions carries 1
mark out of 30 Marks. Second Round was word play for each team we had given 5 sheets
with Finance Related words one person from each team have to give 1clue to another person
from the same team the other person must find out the word with the clue given by his/her
team member, here each questions carry 10 mark out of 50 mark. Based on the two Rounds
participants were filtered for Final Round which was IPL Auction team members have to
form best Team Players with the given amount.

FIRST ROUND:
A total of 30 students with 15 teams had participated in the first round which was Business
Quiz. The round was carried out through Google Forms in the computer lab. Totally 30 quiz
questions were asked out of 30 mark. Each question carries 1 mark. The quiz questions were
related to current affairs, Business and Finance.
SECOND ROUND :
Second round was conducted in the MBA 2 nd year class room, in front of
or Staff and chief guest. Second Round consist of Word play totally 15 team with 30 students.
Each team consist of 2 participants. Words related to Business and finance term were written
in small sheets. Each team must find out 5 words. One must give clue with one word and
other person should find out the word within 1 minute if not the score is given as zero. If the
other person in the term have found out the word with 1 clue the marks is awarded as 10, 2
clues 7 mark, 3 clues 5 mark. More then three were not considered and the mark is awarded
as zero.
The participants were eagerly answered and finally the Marks were awarded by our team out
of 50 marks.

FINAL ROUND :
Based on the scores of first and second round participants were filtered for Final Round 7
teams were selected for final round by comparing the both scores.
Final Round was IPL Auction. Virtual amount of 75 Cores has been given to the team
members, with the given amount each team should form best team players. Based on the rules
in the IPL Auction the Final winners and Runners has been selected.
Team Nama Oru Managers of (Indiradevan Y & Sathish Kumar M) from Kongu Engineering
College and Team Pirates of (Nithya & Makiladarshini) from Hindusthan college of Arts and
Science became the winners and runners respectively. The winners and runners were honored
by the source person, our CEO, Department Heads and All the Participants were Appreciated
with a Certificate.
Finally it ended as an Wonderful Event!!!!!
