Chapter-1: Introduction

AIM:

Aim of the report is to define the work carried out by me at MS ENGINEERING and show
how much I learned and got skills in the internship. As well as the procedure of making
products and ordering the materials from different companies.
Work carried out:

In the internship, I learned about the work culture of the company , how so
many departments work together very effectively. And also I learn about how to
work with other companies and how to establish relationships with other
companies and also with employees. Also I learn about various products and
processes.
Chapter -2: Report on Industrial Training

2.1 : History of Company

The company, MS ENGINEERING opened 20 years ago by HITESH PATEL. The

company’s work is called service center work. They started with small works first and now
they get projects by companies like ARVIND PVT LTD and SOMA TEXTILE.

2.2 : Manpower

The TWO partners have 2 engineers under them and the engineers have 40 workers under
them. So basically they have almost 45 manpower in their company. There were also other
interns in the company
2.3 : Introduction to the product

I did my internship on Cloth roll repairing. We bought the pipe then We bought 20
clothes rolls as per the drawing given by Arvind pvt ltd. After that we have some gear and
shafts for this order .The product photos are as below:
2.4 : Application of the product

The cloth roll is used in most cloth companies to roll the cloth material
on the machine. Here I have some pictures of my project.
2.5 : Technical Specification of the product
Product’s dimensions and other specifications are given to us by ARVIND PVT LTD. We
worked on the project with Arvind and several other companies. First we have to take 40
mm cloth pipe then we need 34 mm 24 teeth gear and 30 mm shaft and cloth roll. We have
done arc welding on rolls because it is very suitable.

2.6 : Important processes

There are some important processes to make and check the shafts and end shafts.. First
there are arc welding processes to weld the pieces together. And after that to check that if
welding is done perfectly we have started turning. And then we leveled up the end shaft to
the machine and started turning. And I also did the inspection part of all the welding and
most of the work by myself.

Photos of turning and also welding are as follows:

2.7 : Manufacturing Process and work by ME

● First of all we check the dimensions and then started to cut the shafts and end
shafts
● Then I gave measurement to the workers
● Then we did some grinding to get a perfect measurement.
● After that welders welded the joints and made the holes as per design. ● After
that I check the measurement with tape and holes diameter with Vernier
calipers.
● After welding shafts and end shafts we checked the diameter of the shaft and
as per that we have given shape to the gear .
● After that we cut the teeth as per given design.
● Then we checked whether the shafts and end shafts are in the same line or not.
● After completing all the things we lastly do some iron paperwork on the
roll. ● Here are some photos of work:
2.8 : Technological and Business challenges

● In technological challenges we face problems like having defects in gear and

shafts won’t come out easily and also if we had some hi-tech welding machines
we would have done the project very early.
● Sometimes the lathe machines were not accurate enough so we had taken 2-3
hours for complete turning.
● We work in a service center area where we have to make shades or projects like
this we have to do.
.
2.9 : Present status and Future scope

● At present, we have 3-4 projects going on, so we have a good place in the market
and now we get government projects as well.
● We completed our project in time and no complaints have been received from
our customers, so we have good scopes for the future as well.
● We also have good contacts in the market and our company’s name is also good
in the market so we get projects frequently.
Chapter-3: Approach towards problem
statement/Outcomes/Learnings from Industrial Training

1. I learn about many things in this internship like how to get work done by
workers and how to behave with them
2. I also learn about different processes and tests like gas , arc welding, turning
and grinding as well.
3. I also learned about how to make contacts with the companies and establish
good relations with them.
4. I also learn about market status and pressure of getting new projects. 5. I
also learn how to plan for the project and how to execute them in order to
finish the project in time.
5. I learnt about arc welding and lathe machine in semester 5-6, so I
already know the components and process of them and that helped me with
my internship.
CHAPTER 4:CONCLUSION

Cloth roll is a roller , located at a front of loom on which woven material is wound after it
leaves the breast beam. it reduces human efforts and saves time in textiles.
