GOAL

The purpose of this document is to provide overview of the Cycle count and count entry by using Forms and WMS mobile

SOLUTION

Brief Introduction:

Cycle counting is the periodic counting of individual items throughout the course of the year to ensure the accuracy of
inventory quantities and values.

Accurate system on-hand quantities are essential for managing supply and demand, maintaining high service levels, and
planning production.

Oracle Inventory is capable of managing the stock taking in two ways.

The two ways are

1.Cycle counting

2.Physical Inventory

Setups required for Cycle Count:

1. Item must be defined with Cycle count enabled Flag

Inventory: Navigation: Items > Organization Items

2. Define ABC Compile with required Compile Criterion

Inventory: Navigation: ABC Codes > ABC Compile

3. Define ABC Assignment Group

Inventory: Navigation: ABC Codes > ABC Assignment Groups

4. Define ABC Classes and Assignment Items to Classes

Inventory: Navigation: ABC Codes > ABC Assignment Groups

5. Define Cycle Count with the required options

Inventory: Navigation: Counting > Cycle counting > Cycle Counts

Entering count frequencies in Cycle Count

1. Perform Full Cycle Count


a. Generate Automatic Schedule Requests
b. Generate Cycle Count Requests
c. Cycle Count Listing
2. Count items
a. Record physical quantity

3. Approve & Update


a. Approve cycle counts
b. Request recount
c. Save & Update inventory
