Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 150 words) The skills which I have developed throughout my 3 years of doing media
studies at Priestley college are in all types of areas such as research, pre
production, production and post production and this will help me when coming
to my final project. Over my time I have definitely strengthened in these
different areas and especially in my practical skills as I have extended my
knowledge and also my use in handling the equipment which has helped me
massively in making the choice for my Final Major Project. I have also shown
good skills and a keen interest in creating videos and photography wich will
also help me moving forward.
Section 2: Project
Concept The concept of doing a short film and also doing 3 different posters for my
(approx. 200 words) short film is to engage my audience with the use of my posters and my short
film will be to also engage the audience but to keep them engaged throughout.
However, my personal aim for this project is to develop my and expand my
skills further in both my practical and written skills during this unit as it will push
me further and help me gain experience of working on higher quality
productions. With doing the short film and posters I want to gain more
knowledge and understanding of capturing higher quality images for my
posters and also higher quality footage for my film as this will not only make it
more appealing for the audience but it will also allow me to develop my skills in
editing and filming. I will also be developing my confidence skills which will be
massively beneficial with my development.

doing written evaluations, audio evaluations and also video evaluations as by
doing this it will show my range of different ways in which I can signify what I
have done using different media products.
