We, the parents of Ms./Mr.


studying in F.Y. Tech./S.Y. Tech/T.Y. Tech./B. Tech. of
Semester , hereby acknowledge the norms of SVKM’s DJSCE, regarding the attendance in
a given semester as per the following guidelines,
1) Each student should have a minimum of 75% attendance for the given semester in the academic
year, inclusive of both Theory & Practicals.
2) It is expected that 100% attendance is necessary for all theory and practicals but, out of 100%, a
25% attendance consideration is given for any incidental absenteeism, which may arise due to any
personal requirements, medical-illness and participation in extra-curricular activities and their
requirement, within the Institution.
3) In case of any severe medical reason, which may last for a longer period, prior information about
the same should be conveyed to the concerned class teacher and Head of the Department, within
2 days of absenteeism, supported with relevant documents.
4) In the case of student is participating in any extracurricular activities outside the college, wherein
she or he is representing the institute, attendance will be considered for the number of days as per
the event schedule along with the optimal round-trip travel plan. Student will need to seek the
consent of the respective Head of the Department and Head of the institution (if required), in prior.
5) Attendance considerations, subject to placement activities will be based upon the inputs received
from the placement cell/department placement co-ordinator.
6) Students should strictly adhere to the Academic calendar displayed on the college website for all
academic activities to be followed in the given semester.
* I am aware of all terms & conditions with respect to attendance policy of the college. They are
explained to me at the start of the semester.
* I am aware that, if attendance is below as per the above norms, my ward will not be eligible for
Term Grant and will be detained, and I hereby agree for the same.
* Further, we are aware that this undertaking given is not just for a semester, but for my ward’s
entire academic tenure in the institution.
