The company manager has tasked our group to plan and develop a

new IoT product, service or application for a potential client. So, we worked
together to get ideas for developing an efficient, cost-saved and daily used
IoT device. We got a lot of ideas when we worked together. And we wrote
proposals for these ideas in order to report our ideas and to get a decision
from the company for a suitable device that we can develop. Here are the
proposals for these ideas.

1.Automatic Soap Dispenser

Introduction

In an increasingly connected world, the integration of Internet of Things

(IoT) technology into everyday objects offers new opportunities for
efficiency, convenience, and hygiene. Our proposal outlines the development
and deployment of an automatic soap dispenser, leveraging smart
technology to enhance user experience, optimize soap usage, and promote
better hygiene practices in both commercial and residential settings.

Objectives

1. Develop an automatic soap dispenser prototype that integrates seamlessly

with existing IoT ecosystems and platforms.

2. Implement sensor technology to enable touchless operation, monitor soap

levels, and track dispenser usage in real-time.
3. Design a user-friendly mobile application to remotely monitor and control
the dispenser, adjust dispensing settings, and receive alerts for low soap
levels or maintenance needs.

Purpose and process

To create an environment that promotes healthcare awareness and

prioritizes hygiene, the automatic soap dispenser will feature touchless
operation, eliminating the need for physical contact and reducing the risk of
cross-contamination. This touchless design aligns with the principles of
infection control and promotes hand hygiene practices, particularly in
settings where individuals may come into contact with pathogens or
infectious agents. By removing the need to touch the dispenser, users can
access soap without the risk of transferring germs, promoting a safer and
healthier environment for everyone.

The automatic soap dispenser incorporates advanced sensor technology,

represented by the intuitive hand symbol, to detect hand movements
effortlessly. This touchless operation ensures that users can receive the
perfect amount of soap directly into their hands without the need for any
physical contact with the dispenser.

2.Smart shoes for blind with self-lacing

Introduction

Smart shoes for the blind represent a groundbreaking advancement in

wearable technology, aimed at significantly enhancing the mobility and
safety of visually impaired individuals. These shoes integrate various sensors
and connectivity options to offer real-time guidance, obstacle detection, and
navigation support, effectively communicating with the user through haptic
feedback or auditory signals.

Objectives

1.Enhanced Navigation and Safety- The primary objective of these smart

shoes is to provide visually impaired individuals with unparalleled autonomy
in navigation. By integrating advanced sensors and GPS technology, these
shoes aim to detect obstacles and convey real-time directions
2.Ease of Use and Independence-The addition of self-lacing technology in
these smart shoes is designed to foster a greater sense of independence for
users with visual impairments.

3.Integration with Smart Ecosystems- Another key objective is to seamlessly

integrate these shoes into the broader IoT ecosystem, enabling them to
communicate with other smart devices and applications

Process and Purpose

It is a kind of footwear made exclusively for those who are blind or visually
impaired. The smart shoes are equipped with a number of sensors and
technologies that work together to deliver real-time information about the
user's surroundings, obstacles, and navigation directions. Self-lacing is a
device that automatically adjusts lace tension, which helps people with visual
impairments who struggle to tie shoelaces on their own. It provides a
unique and innovative solution for improving mobility and independence for
visually impaired people.

Main Components

1. ultrasonic sensors,
2. pressure sensor,
3. Bluetooth module,
4. IR sensor,
5. actuators or motors,
6. accelerometer and
7. gyroscope.

3. Car Speed Detector

Introduction

The IoT Car Speed Detector operates as a sophisticated radar-based speed

violation detection system, designed to promote safer driving practices and
enhance traffic management. Utilizing IoT technology, this system accurately
measures the speed of vehicles in real-time, automatically identifying and
reporting speed violations to relevant authorities.

Objectives

1.Traffic Law Enforcement and Safety Promotion-The foremost goal of the

IoT Car Speed Detector is to assist in the enforcement of traffic laws by
accurately detecting and reporting speed violations.

2.Real-Time Data Collection and Analysis- This system is designed to collect

and analyze speed data in real-time, providing valuable insights into traffic
flow and speed patterns.

3.Integration with Smart City Initiatives- By connecting the speed detector

system with other smart city components, such as traffic management
centers and emergency response systems.

Process and Purpose

In a simple way, car speed detectors can be said to be devices that
detect the speed of a moving car in real time. When thinking about
implementing a car speed detector, a radar based speed detector is chosen
to be developed.

A radar-based speed violation detector is a combination of low cost 4D

radar and a lane video camera. In this detector, radar sensors detect speed
by the change in frequency of radio waves, which reflect back from the car in
the radar’s path. Radar receiver processes these waves. The radar uses
returned pulses to determine object distance and position, while the time it
takes for the pulse to return helps calculate vehicle speed and direction. The
camera captures images or videos of the car as evidence. These photos or
videos usually contain important information like the license plate number of
the car, the time and date of the infraction. The captured information is sent
to the Local Processing Unit by the inter-connected radar sensor and
cameras. If the car speed is over the limited speed, the alarm system will
activate.

Main Components
1. GPS Sensors
2. Camera Sensors
3. Infrared Sensors (IR)
4. LIDAR Sensor (Optional)
5. Radar Sensor (Doppler Radar)
6. Communication Module
7. Power Supply
