World War I - Trench Warfare Research Assignment

The First World War was an event that the world had never seen before, and in its aftermath the world pledged to never
repeat. To get a better idea of the war and some of the events within it complete the following research assignment

 Do research to complete Parts A, B, & C

3. Explain in detail three (six) issues of life in the trench for the soldier.
4. Describe the trench cycle.

Part B - Weapons of War


a. List at least three (six) new weapons (other than poison gas) used in WWI.
o For each, briefly explain what they were and how they impacted the fighting of the war.
b. Poison Gas: Poison gas was used by both sides in the war.
o What kinds of poison gas were developed?
o What were the effects of it?
o Who used it?
o Do you think that its use was effective? Explain.
