The bit plunge cuts a round hole into the back of the item to
be mounted. Then by moving the router horizontally the large
diameter cuts a hole beneath the small diameter creating a re-
cessed (stepped) area for the screw or nail to lock into. A fast
and easy method of mounting plaques, picture frames and oth-
er items flush to a wall. The use of a plunge type hand router
is recommended. Can also be used with a pin or CNC router.
